I have been looking for a good set of gel pens for a while. My local stores either have small packs or can't keep them in stock. I came across these on Amazon and started reading reviews. Even though there were good ones, I kept getting hung up on the bad ones so I had hesitation. Finally I decided to buy them because with the price vs amount of pens/refills and the added bonus of a carrying case, I couldn't pass it up. I am so glad I didn't. I really don't know why there are bad reviews. The case is well made, every pen works and there are so many colors to choose from!! The caps lock well and are easy to remove. Yes there are subtle differences in amount of ink from pen to pen but is that really cause for alarm? No. Most started writing immediately but the pastels took 2-3 passes to get going but again, not the end of the world. I feel like receiving them all intact and all working is already worth the price. Anything else they achieve is an added bonus. BUY THESE PENS!! The kit even has a white one. That's a first for me.... Ok, I'm off to color now! Enjoy everyone. I know I will!

I liked everything about these gel pens for coloring! The number of pens included (120), the price (about $20), the great selection of colors including glitter and glossy pens. The case is perfect as well! Something I didn’t realize is some of the pens are scented 😃 While coloring I kept thinking’ what is that sweet smell???’ Finally I sniffed the pen and oh my it was wonderful!!! If you’re not sure, get the pens! I am impressed for the price 😃

I have recently gotten back into drawing and adult coloring books and since I didn't have a great selection size of the different mediums I like to work with I was purchasing quite a few different types all at once. I have my brands I liked previously for a couple other mediums but, not in gel pens. I spent a lot of time reviewing different brands, cost points, and reviews based on the gel pens performance mostly for adult coloring books. I was impressed that these pens were labeled with their name so when I went to make my sample swatches that is a plus. You will run through a lot of ink when coloring the types of books and detail that I enjoy so having refills already included a huge plus. I did have a couple glitter pens that took a bit more coaxing to get them to flow but, a couple shakes and light tapping on the heel of my palm took care of that. I did have one that the ink had backed up and collected in the end of the barrel of the pen. I just opened the pen cleaned it out and at the time I put the replacement ink in. After setting the original piece out and cleaned up the small opening at the end of the pen I rechecked it the next day and it was working smoothly again. My dexterity is not what it used to be pre chronic illness and other than these pens not having comfort gripping which I wouldn't have expected at this price point anyway they were still quite easy to use for extended periods of time. They color smoothly for the most part. If you're layering or working with a co!boring book with a lot of heavy black background and shading you may, like I do, keep a scratch piece of paper so if you feel your pen start to stick or the ink not flowing smoothly just roll the point on a piece of tissue and then prime with a couple strokes of the pen on the scratch paper before returning to your project. These didn't bleed through, worked well on both light and darker backgrounds for my coloring books and layered well to highlight some of my dragon and mermaid pictures. I do mix mediums and I like to use my dual tip brush pens and use these gel pens to layer on top of the ink or outline. Metallic give a nice sheen as well. I wouldn't buy these pens though for writing drawing on completely dark paper because they really aren't meant for that type of project and not only does the pen catch at times on dark paper but, the ink wouldn't show well. Otherwise, for my usage these worked out great getting me started. I will say depending on how large of an area you're colouring these pens will run out rather quickly. All in all great value and pretty good for the projects I've listed.

They offer such a great array of colors, And the refill packs put me I wow mode. So much Bang for your buck! Coloring for over a year!

These are a fantastic set of Gel Pens, real value for money and fantastic quality, the colour is consistent when used for colouring and the glide of the pen is amazing!Unlike most Gel Pens, it's really touch and go if they are going to be scratchy when colouring or if the ink is inconsistent.These Pens have really surprised me, what's more they provide you refills for all of the colours, and the colours are labelled with numbers and names which is great for keeping track of which ones you're using while colouring.Thoroughly recommended, great value for money and worth the wait.
