Mr Alten has done it again, 5 stars, for MEG book #5.
Mr Alten has done it again. This book continues the MEG series with book #5 and wow it is amazing. Tons of excitement, adventure, horror, a little romance, a little blood and some really fantastic prehistoric sea creatures, the MEG's, and the Lio are so detailed. I would love to see them at a real aquarium, it would be a breathtaking sight. The details of what these sea creatures, the MEG's, and the Lio look like and act like is fascinating. You are right there with the crews, deck hands, pilots, and victims on the boats and in the water, totally freaked out. His character building is good, you like who you are supposed to like and dislike the others. The idea of this adventure being a reality tv show is outrageous. I would so watch that show. It would blow all other reality tv away!! I can't wait for the MEG movie to come out and MEG book #6, awesome!!

You'll love it!
I love this series. When a new book in the series comes out I usually re-read the books from the first one. I couldn't wait to do that this time. I was really excited about this one. Living in the Pacific Northwest I was very curious how it would be part of this new book (and I knew it would). It was fun to read the story and know exactly where things were happening. I always like how there are so many different stories going on with each character and at some point they usually meet up. It's hard to say too much without giving some of the story away so I don't think I'll say much, but it gets very interesting. I sort of thought there was a jump the shark (so to speak) moment but I just went with it. It made me roll my eyes a little. If you liked the other books in this series you'll like this one too. I was wondering what happened to the daughter though? She was mentioned (maybe so we didn't forget about her) but not part of the story. I think she should have been, unless maybe in the next book she'll be a big part of the story. I can see so many stories yet to be told and I really hope we don't have to wait long. No pressure Steve....

Another great thriller from Steve Alten
Meg Nightstalkers is another action packed thrill ride from author Steve Alten. Alten has matured and become a far better writer in his newer novels. From his debut novel Meg, to the 20th Anniversary edition of Meg, Alten's writing has supremely improved and he knows how to build suspense and create another great monster thriller in an already over crowded field. Alten will always stand out from others because he creates a great fact paced action book.Who this book is for? the loyal Meg Fans and others who love monster books.Nightstalkers serves as the sequel to Hell's Aquarium and the sequel to Vostok. All of the characters return as the aging Jonas becomes more of a supporting character and David takes more center stage again. Terry, Zachary Wallace and Mac all play pivotal roles and Alten has a firm grasp on his characters and the story. The pacing is great, a nice brisk read that is best read by the water as i did. Alten and his use of the monsters remains top notch and i always enjoy his next move. The plot is nothing heavy and difficult, fans will know where its going as our characters once again face off with the monsters of the deep. I do have to say Alten brought everything together in an incredible fashion in the last 10 pages. a great ending to the thriller.Overall, a great novel, i still believe The Trench and The Loch are the best in the series but this does not disappoint and was too much fun.

Megmped Up! Get in your Zone cos its human vs. sharks!!!
The first book called "Meg" grabbed my attention in the library because of its cover. I was hooked immediately and that was 2 years ago. Ever since, I've been using the library's lending service from other libraries to read the other three books. I decided I had to get more on this author. Nightstalker takes off where the last book (book 4) in the series and it has even more suspense than the first book. I am feeling like I'm right in there beside all those crackpots and the crackpots are actually saner than the ones that consider themselves rich. He allows the characters to remain human and imperfect and yet, like only New Yorkers could in times of "I need a lot of help here"'s attitude of banding together to conquer something. Now the sharks are descendants of the original Meg and her offspring. Steve, I have truly enjoyed your personal touch and for all you do for the "Author" program. If you have not read any of Steve's book, I highly recommend you start with Meg. You will understand the connection between the first one and this one. Meg sharks EXIST and Steve proved it. I love that he includes drawings to help us see and imagine what the world is like miles underneath the ocean. He is so inventive and I would not be surprised at all if people have already developed the tools he mentions in the book like the little yellow submarine.Meg's descendants might have just met their match with the humans in the book. I don't feel sorry one bit for the characters because they made very stupid and mostly heroic choices. Like the rest of us.I got this book yesterday 6-16-16 and I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Please Please write Generations!!!! I can see this Meg series becoming a big hit on the SyFy channel - for example book 1 would be called Meged Up for them coming to the surface. Book 2 would be called Meged Off as the babies of the mama got pissed. Book 3 would be Meg Before the Storm and Book 4 would be Megcha Can't Catch Me and this one is going to be called Meglighted.

Good read.
You will enjoy this if you enjoyed the other ones. Disappointing that the next one in the series is only available in paperback (not Ebook)

Meg series
I have enjoyed the series so far entertaining and exciting. Five stars for the story and the fact that there are no print errors in digital copy.
