Inline flow restrictor for 50 gpd RO systems 1/4" quick connect

Upgraded our reverse osmosis filter to a 50 GPM membrane and needed a flow restrictor to balance the brine solution coming off of the membrane.This worked great, and the reverse osmosis filter has a higher gallon per day capacity with no loss in efficiency.

Item sent to me does not match the picture online. There are no directions provided. When I push the tubes into the ends, the tubes slip out very easily. I thought maybe it would still work even if it seemed too loose so I installed and then turned the water on and the one end started to slip out and would have popped out and sprayed water if I hadn't held it in place. Something is very wrong with this. Not to mention I was pretty angry it was defective since it was in the evening I was replacing some parts in my filtration system and no stores were open to get the correct parts. I had to use the old 75 gpd flow restrictor temporarily until I can buy the right item.

It didn't include instructions which would have been nice to have, but otherwise a good quality product. Would buy again.

Product works fine but was missing the plastic retaining clips on both sides. I needed this working right away so I just used a small paper clip shaped into the form of a clip and have had no problems with operation. RO system is working great again. Just make sure your membrane flow rating matches this flow restrictor for best results.

This was a snap to fit into my new RO unit. High quality parts, allows you to fine tune your water quality without wondering if the cheap stuff you bought is gioing to actually work as it should. This part is definitely made with quality and simplicity in mind.

If you have a home system that requires a flow restrictor, this is a good deal compared to other sources. Easy to install; it allows you 50 gallons per day in/through your filtration system without affecting pressure requirements in other areas. I would classify this as a 'family' unit. If you are using your filtration system for drinking water and have a family of 4 with maybe a few pets, this will do the job. If you plan to use it in a commercial atmosphere for a fountain, drinking or otherwise, read your specs and verify that a 50 gpd restrictor is what you need.

Pic says 400 but what i recieved is rated 420. Sure it will still works great for a 50 gpd system, but makes me wonder what these guys are smokin

I bought this to use with Watts Premier 50 GPD MEMBRANE 560018. The brine water discharge in the sink drain is much louder than when I was using the 24 GPD membrane. I don't fault this flow restrictor for the noise, because I essentially doubled the output of my system, thus increasing the amout of brine water to dispose.
