The Lies I Tell

An immensely enjoyable book with the two main character women plotting against each other wondering if the other woman has figured out the scheme. No spoilers in this review! You'll enjoy the twists and gasp at some of the suspense. At times, you'll find yourself rooting for the bad "guy" (or is it the good "guy"?). This is a creative plot that I sped through, and I'm a bit of a slow reader. As a suggestion though: pay attention to the chapter titles as chapters switch between main characters and also change timelines. Assuming you get that part straight, you will thoroughly enjoy this novel!

I love that Julie writes strong female characters that are complex and thoughtful...and smart.What would you do if you could make those men pay? The ones who burned someone you loved, and then got away with it? The ones who are talked about behind closed doors as unbelievably lucky? Yeah, sometimes Karma takes too long and it's much more satisfying to balance the scales without all the red tape.Julie takes us on the ride of what if, and lets us live vicariously through getting the scales balanced.3 for 3 in the 5 star category. BRAVO!

I loved this book from Page 1! I usually only have time to read during my lunch and some before bed so it takes me 2 to 3 weeks to read a novel. NOT THIS ONE!! My husband purchased this book off my Amazon wishlist for Christmas. I read the book in less than 2 days. I could not put this book down! What a story! I got so attached to the 2 main characters and could feel for them. If you are wanting a fast read of a perfectly written thriller....LOOK NO FURTHER!

“The Lies I Tell” is another fabulous book from Julie Clark filled with interesting characters and a surprising plot.I also enjoyed “The Last Flight” which also has a surprising and exciting plot to offer.I hope to read many more books from Ms.Clark who is definitely a gifted author.

Julie Clark has done it again. It was impossible to put this book down, and now I’m sad it’s over. The characters are well developed and easy to connect with. The storyline was intricate, yet easy to follow, which kept my attention throughout. There were a number of twists, but they all led back to one another in a way. Highly recommend!
