Definitely does what it claims. Would recommend.

I love these because they are so easy and keeps you clean. The bottled pond dye is definitely cheaper, but it is messy and the ink gets on everything if you are not super careful. With these, you just open the bag and toss it in.

Be ready for some very blue water. we have a 1/4 acre pond with very muddy water. 1 treatment and the pond is blue for at least 8 months

I love these packets because I don't need to worry about getting dye on my hands; I just toss a packet in once a month. This product helps keep underwater pond weeds from growing out of control by blocking some of the sunlight, and as a bonus, the color looks really pretty!
