Very cool effect
Great flickering effect. Not a dim light Stayed lit for 8 hrs. Excellent value.

Very bright and pretty lights
Love these lanterns, the come on at dusk and off at dawn. I have received many compliments from neighbors.

Very cool
I honestly wasn't expecting much from these. I needed to replace two solar lanterns that wouldn't work anymore even after changing batteries. It was hard to find larger lanterns and these were larger so I got them. The black outer part is black plastic, so not sure how long it'll be until they fade in the AZ sun, but for now they look nice. At night is when they look really cool. I chose to use the flickering flame option and it's really neat. I'm even considering buying more.

Very visible light
The lights are a fun addition to the outdoor decor, definitely a bright light and flickering flame. The case is plastic and the hanger may break if mishandled, but I like the way they look.

They die after a few months
After a few months of use the several sets I bought of these lanterns, they just die. I thought they needed a battery. I have many lanterns and have replaced batteries on all of them. I have had others for years. Not these. When I unscrewed them, I found the battery to not be standard size, and they appear to be welded in so as not to be replaceable. Unacceptable in this day and age!!!. Now these will end up as more plastic and electronics in the landfill. My satisfaction went from 5 stars (loved them) to zero stars if I could. Irresponsible manufacturing. Makes me furious. What a waste of money and so bad for the environment. Do not buy!
