I ordered an XXL, which is a first for me, but given that many items made in China run a bit small I took a chance. Very pleased with how the pants fit (I don't like my hiking pants to be binding). I typically take between a 14-16 depending on manufacturer. I'm 5'6 1/2 and the pants, although a little long will be fine with hiking boots and also have an adjustable cuff which can be tightened. My only concern is that they did arrive in a nice little plastic carry sack, but whether it is the sack or the pants there was an overwhelming chemical smell. Before wearing I will wash with detergent and baking soda ((possibly a few times) as it is a smell that I can't identify. Not entirely awful, but not something I want on my skin. Ever. The pockets are nice in the sense that they all have zippers. Not sure if I'd use the ones close to the knees, but someone might have a use for them. Hoping the zippers are more robust than what a prior reviewer experienced. Overall, pleased so far with the purchase. If they work out I would order another pair in another color for variety. Would also consider using these for kayaking to keep the sun off my legs. The elastic waistband is a great feature and certainly more comfortable than wearing hiking pants with a belt, especially when it gets hot.

I followed the size chart and wore these on trips to Norway and Germany. They are comfortable and dried quickly after getting drenched in autumn rains. I’m not a fan of the pockets near the knees, because they are in an odd place, so and the zippers jammed and failed too easily, which happened to 3 pairs of these pants. I especially like the zippered back pocket, but when the zipper failed, I couldn’t put my phone in my back pocket. The zippers also get jammed easily. The front pockets are great, because of their depth.

Most comfortable waistline, tough, attractive, fully functional pant, light as a feather.

Bought these pants for hiking and they would be great for that except they were about an inch or two too long. I’m 5’6” and 165 lbs, bought an XL. I liked the material, pants were comfortable. I didn’t like the way the bright yellow zipper pulls looked on black pants, especially because there are a bunch of them!Returning because of the length.

Great fit, well made. As good if not better than my expensive hiking pants. Lots of pocket in places they are handy and comfortable. Zippers are good quality and fabric lightweight, durable and super quick drying. I ordered more colors as these are my new favorite travel and hiking pants. Medium size, 5’2 130 pounds.

Light weight and comfortable, these pants are great. My favorite part of these pants is the drawstring cuffs.I work outside. There are times when I want the breeze around my ankle. And there are times when I choose to cut the dust off.I'm about to buy two more pair.

The material is very light, exactly what I was looking for, with lots of zippered pockets. Unfortunately the waist was uncomfortably tight while the hips and legs were ample and billowy. I am short-waisted, so when pulled up to my actual waistline where the elastic was comfortable, it looked…well, the word that comes to mind is “matronly”. Not the look I was going for. I ordered a medium, I’m 5’8” and weigh around 140. I would order a large but I think that would legit look like parachute pants on me. So if you have a more proportionate waistline, these might work great for you. If your body is similar to mine, I would look elsewhere.
