Flow switch works but comes with cheap connectors.
The flow switch works as advertised but several of the wire connectors that came with it failed. This is why I reduced the rating by 1 star.

Perfect fit
Easy to replace and the little "wire nuts" work perfectly. You just have to understand how to use them.

This flow sensor worked for less than a month after install
The product worked for less than a month after I installed it...I have not been able to find the customer support to talk to them about a replacement...it states on the seller page there is a two year warranty. I am a bit upset that I got a month of use from this product.

Part is great; splice connectors are cheap
I had low temp and low salt indicators on my Pentair IC40 salt generator. This part resolved both and was a great value. The splice connectors that are provided with the sensor are cheap, and even though the sensor leads come pre-stripped, these are insulation displacement connectors that are designed to cut through the insulation. So trim the exposed copper off on both ends before splicing. These are single use and no spares are provided, but if you bugger one up like I did, Ideal makes an inexpensive 3-position splice (part 85-925 Telephone Splice Connectors UR IDC) that can be bought in a 25-pack for a few bucks here or at HD.Also be aware that while the wire colors are the same as the Pentair OEM flow sensor for red, green, and white, you need to connect blue to black.

Worked perfectly
Exact replacement for my IC40 chlorinator. Easy to install. Had flow error but this fixed the problem.

Never tighten (twist) while water is flowing!
I gave it an extra turn while water was flowing to stop a leak and the flow of water mangled the foil that the magnet is attached to in such a way that no flow could be detected afterwards. Removed the unit, straightened the foil and put it back in and all is well for now but if I find a piece of foil with a magnet in my filter basket I will know I need to buy another one, my fault. Otherwise I also wish the packaging was better but whatever. Five stars for not having to spend thousands on a new chlorinator. Stay thirsty my friends.

Just What the Dr Ordered - Sort of
updated review>>>>>Product arrived as promised… <24hrs from order time.Installed within 5 min on Pentair IC40.Cut expose wire “nubs” on as delivered flow switch to remove exposed bare copper.Cut wire from existing flow switch… leaving plenty of wire for “future” repairs… should they be required.Peeled back outer protective insulation from existing flow switch wire to expose insulated conductors…. White, green, red, blackUsed connectors provided with replacement. Slip “insulated” ends into the connector from flow switch and existing wires…then apply slight pressure on flat side of connector to crimp into connector.Red… RedWhite… WhiteGreen… GreenBlack… BlueThreaded flow switch back into IC40 —- observing flow direction arrows on the new switch.Started pump… flow switch picked up immediately.. flow indicated good, salt level..good … chlorinator …operating … green LED’s on all indicators.Still early in install/operation phase. Will post update if the unit fails prematurely, but from easy of install perspective, price vs OEM component and return policy, worth the try. My system was back in service and was happy.>>> new>> next morning, flow indication on IC 40 showed no flow. Shut down pump and restarted... flow indication was good for approx 5 min, then no flow indicator red LED observed. confirmed on control panel - status - Flow trouble. Removed flow Switch and reinstalled - no change - Red LED remained and status monitor continued to show no flow. Removed a switch, connectors and tape, repackaged for return.
