When I got this barley powder, I was a bit apprehensive because I have heard some people claim it is pungent and bitter. Maybe it is because I drink matcha and moringa powder almost every day, but I find the flavor of this barley powder to be earthy and pleasant! It is surprising how delicious I find this stuff. The product is thoughtfully placed in a ziploc bag so you can reduce the amount of powder that gets everywhere. The powder itself is a vivid green color which is a good indication of quality. Because the flavor is not strong, you can mix it into just about anything and it will not overpower the overall flavor of your drink/smoothie/etc. It is a good way to get a dose of greens without it being unpleasant. I usually just take a tablespoon or two and mix it into cold water to drink. Dissolves very well and not too thick.Barley grass is known for the multitude of health benefits it provides, such as aiding in weight loss, heart health, and providing you with plenty of vitamins and antioxidants. It contains a lot of fiber too, so if you are having indigestion or constipation this can help a lot. For me personally my regularity has improved so I am feeling good every day.I have never heard of the company Nature Gold though. I am a bit skeptical about the brand and whether this is a good place to source your health and food products from. Their site has a lot of great claims advocating for their quality, but there are no other sites that can back this up so I am not sure if they are as trustworthy as they seem. I am enjoying this barley grass powder drink from them and I can only hope that it is safe and healthy (and in fact barley grass powder). I have not died yet from drinking it and I feel well, so based on this I can easily give it 5 stars for my continued satisfaction in using this product.

After a bit of research I learned that there are numerous nutritional benefits from barley grass. I've enjoyed similar green powder blends from the grocery store in the past so figured this one could be a similar single ingredient product for my smoothies and baking at a much lower price point per ounce.This powder comes in a HUGE bag making it a wonderful value, though it can get a bit messy if you aren't careful. Unlike the green powder blends you see in grocery stores, this ones has almost no bitter taste when mixed with other ingredients. It does turn whatever you put it in bright green so don't be put off by the color. Green = healthy right?It's hard to know if i'm feeling good these days directly because of this addition to my diet but i'm not feeling bad at all! Can't hurt giving this product a try if you're already on the green powder bandwagon. My only concern at first was sourcing and packaging clarity. It's obvious this is a product from overseas so regulatory oversight is a bit hazy on sourcing and safety. The brand website is quite low quality which doesn't give me much confidence.

I like this barley grass powder, rich in vitamins A and K. It is the main ingredient to my smoothie. It does taste like an earthy grass flavor but that’s become the signature for my smoothies. This package goes a long way for me. Easy to make if you buy the premade smoothie packs and just add your green powder and orange juice! Love it.

I'm always looking for ways to improve my parrot's diet. I've had him for over 30 years, and I want to help him to live a long, healthy life! I supplement his formulated, pelleted diet with seeds, beans, brown rice, fruits and vegetables, and I like to add things such as this Barley Grass Powder as a dietary 'booster', of sorts.I do wish this was organic, but nowhere in the listing does it say that it is. It's just a wish on my part. The Barley Grass Powder seemed quite fresh when I opened it, and that was in line with the "Term of validity" date on the back of the package (Best by date).Cosmo -- my parrot -- is used to sprinkles of wheatgrass powder, bee pollen, etc on his soft foods, and when I used this product for the first time, he could tell it was something new. He chowed down.I wish I could tell you what this stuff tastes like, but I don't eat nearly as healthy as Cosmo.
