BILITOOLSM6x1.0 Thread Repair Kit, HSS Drill Helicoil Repair Kit Metric

The single shock mounting thread was stripped and this helicoil kit worked and was so easy to use. It was my first time using a helicoil and it only took me less than 15 minutes. It save me hundreds of dollars by not having to replace the spindle assembly.

These worked surprisingly well for me. I stripped a couple of valve cover bolt holes and this worked great at repairing them. I was drilling into aluminum and the bit worked great. I went slow and steady and it solved my issues.

The kit is the actual correct M6-1.00 size, unlike Home depot whos sizes were smaller then they should. The Bilitools is the best kit for your money! They are cheap and has everything you need to get the job done. They worked great on my Ford fiesta m6.1.00 stripped valve cover engine block holes. My oil pan bolt too!! I will be using this company from now on for all my stripped out issues! Also the metal box it comes in to put other things in is a perk I love!

It's a solid kit and the inserts fit nicely both to the O.D. thread and to the I.D. thread. I would recommend this kit. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is no threaded guide for starting the inserts straight. Though I had no issues, I have with other inserts in the past.

This is exactly what I needed! Unfortunately the first one went to a different household down the street, completely USPS fault. Amazon did an awesome job sending me a new one. The second I got it I went straight to work trying to fix the car. Tool kit worked flawlessly and extremely easy !

I wish I bought this years ago! No more cutting corners on iffy studs!The drill bits and taps seem very high quality. However, the tool used for inserting the coils it made of very soft metal and it gets bent up and disfigured with surprisingly little force so be super gently with them and have a file and screwdriver or something on hand to bend it back into shape..I'm sure most mechanics know this already, but when you insert it, it stretches. Since it is longer in-place than before make sure you account for that when checking the depth of your tap and go deep enough or else it will squish at the bottom and your fastener will get chewed up.
