It was a straight forward job. Work perfect with the first try but as the other buyer said is rather for the regular size cables and it won't work with thin cables...I tried.

You deffinately need a tool to crimp with.

Pass through connectors are all fairly straight forward and these are no exception. These connectors offer the additional benefit of being shielded, cat7 connectors vs the usual cat6e. The pass through functionality works as expected, and crimping follows properly as well.

I bought these for a CAT 7 Shielded cable I'm running from one building to another. I have attempted to terminate this cable 10 times now and every time I crimp it, one, or more pins don't contact the wire because the connector doesn't have individual holes for each wire so it's easy for the pin and wire to not line up right during the crimp.

When they specify that this is for CAT 7 / 6a, THEY MEAN IT. I tried to use these connectors on CAT5 cables and because the cables are a thinner gauge, the guides don't fit right and they end up doubling up and you get 2 cables where there's only supposed to be 1.Disclaimer out of the way, these connectors are very robust and the extra buckle is a nice addition. The guide is also a nice touch and really helps wires stay in their own lane (again, only if the correct size cabling is used).
