OrthoStep Stainless Steel Shoe Horn - Metallic Silver - 7.5 inch

These longer handled shoehorns are great for both the elderly and children. I bought the first for my 85-year-old father-in-law as he had difficulty in putting on his shoes. The common, short, handled ones were frustrating for him, but this size was perfect, and far better for him than the ones with much longer (up to 18-inch) handles. He could maneuver it easily and was incredibly happy he could slip on his shoes completely on his own. It is a similar immense help for my two grandsons, 7 and 11, to help them easily put on shoes of all types. Of course, my wife and I have ones for ourselves. Thanks.

had the cutest yellow metal shoe horn for my then 3 and 5 year old. Since they added some extra curriculars, we found ourselves with more shoe changes and wanted a spare shoe horn in their bag. The original brand seemed to have changed to OrthoStep but they offer 2 in this stainless option for price of our first shoehorn. Purchased, and it’s exactly as the original. Appreciate the discounted price. We have been using the stainless ones for past 4-5 months and they’re perfect, durable, and a must have.

PROS: o Seems sturdy o Good priceCONS: o Could not find any indication that it is US madeWorks well, and keeps me from struggling with getting the heel on when putting my tight fitting slip-on shoes. Other sellers appear to have this same shoe horn and prominently list it as being made in the USA, None of the packaging (which consisted of a plastic bag with a sticker on it), or the product has any indication that this is US made. The fact that it is less expensive causes me to wonder if it is an off shore product/knock off... hope not.

It’s a metal shoehorn which gets some getting use to. As you slip your foot into the shoe you probably have to move your hand holding the shoehorn handle towards your back heel, if you don’t you will hurt your heel. What I don’t like is the shipping. The shape of the shoehorn does get flatten out a little bit which explains why the potential of hurting your heel. In my case it’s ok, the shoehorn did not lose the slight curve to guide your heel. My heel of shoe or back of shoes are like new because of this shoehorn.
