This drink has been a total game changer for me. FINALLY, a drink that has enough calories and the right nutrients for those who really need to gain weight. I’ve been underweight my entire life, and since it’s not a concern for most people, at best I’m told to drink Ensure (which I believe is maybe 210 calories at most for one drink, usually less) - and a four pack costs about the same price as a four pack of Boost with almost 3x the calories. I’m 5’5, and because of my small frame, the most I’ve ever weighed was 112 lbs (this was when I was eating all the time; the guy I had been dating then had an extremely athletic frame so could easily eat 4500 calories a day and still look healthy). But if I’m not in a relationship and there’s no one to make me eat, I simply don’t have an appetite - at least not to the point where I really want to bother with going out to get food (not that the city I’m in has any real options) or dealing with the hassle of making it. I do still have to eat SOMETHING (like a burrito) in the morning, or something at night. I can stay at about 93-95 lbs when I do that. If I actually have both breakfast and dinner, along with two of these drinks, I can get my weight to 100 (which looks more like 112; 112 looks like 125 lbs on my frame). My lowest weight has been 70, and no, I’ve never had an eating disorder. That’s just my lack of appetite, and my appetite tends to get worse when I’m dealing with trauma, which I’ve had too much of in the past two years. Too many life-devastating losses, too much pain to care about what I was planning on having for dinner next. This drink is a godsend for anyone who just needs help maintaining a healthy weight, someone who needs help gaining, someone who is dealing with dental work and not able or not comfortable with all foods. I’m so grateful for those who came up with it and I hope it stays around forever. Ensure was never enough, and any protein shake from the health food store was always too much (consuming a 1200+ calorie protein shake on an empty stomach while you’re very thin generally just results in getting very hot, nauseous, and sick). The strawberry is definitely the best flavor! The vanilla is okay, but not really a fan of the chocolate.

I am on an extremely limited diet. I need to add many more calories to my diet to keep from losing so much weight. This Boost has the highest calories per serving that I have found among the choices. A bit pricey but worth the money for me. Not a lot in the bottle but I add one of my protein drinks to it. chocolate and strawberry mixed are the best!

This does do what it’s supposed to! Since starting it last summer, I went from 140lbs to 178lbs (last I checked, could be slightly higher). I like the fit-thicc look, and I’m tall so I’m aiming for 190-195lbs. I will mention I drink 2 usually per day, only been exercising regularly for less than 2 months now. The taste is OK, not my fave but def tolerable. Consistency is thicker than milk which makes sense since it’s packed with so many calories. Now I must also say…idk what happened with this last case I’m finishing but I noticed with the vanilla and esp the chocolate flavors (nearly every box of chocolate 🤢), a few thick clumps? I shake it but these clumps won’t quite go away. It turns me off feeling this in my mouth and I spit it out. Makes me not wanna continue drinking them. Nestle, pls make sure to do more quality control with the consistency. I’m hoping this doesn’t continue with my future subscriptions I get! Otherwise I like how many calories I get, although the price could stand to be lowered a good $10!

Although it says not to, I have been using it as a pediatric shake to help my daughter, with sensory issues when it comes to food, gain weight. Works really well. She went from the 11% to the 37% in a year and a half. I am now using it under the guidance of a GI specialist and a dietitian for the same purpose. Please seek doctor opinions before using it for this purpose. My daughter is almost completely dependent on theses shakes for food. Your child may not have the same issues and may need therapies to help. That being said if you are looking for a cost effective alternative to any of the higher priced shakes, these have higher calories, and I have not had any issue getting her to drink this. It also comes it different flavors. The only issue we have run into is that we use the nuk transition bottle with spout nipple, and after it sits for awhile, it starts to thicken. Any unused portion definitely needs to be refrigerated as soon as possible. It can also be a pain to clean out, so try rinsing it out after drinking it.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Just should had read the sugar content a little closer. Just out of my comfort zone. I will be looking for the same or close to the same calorie amount but hopefully with a natural no sugar sweetener.
