Handmade Water Color paint set, 30 colors Metallic Solid Sub-Pack Quarter Pans Nail Art Pearlescent Watercolor Calligraphy Ink Hand Lettering Art Supplies

I've been looking for a decent metallic watercolour palette for some time now, and although these are small pans, the colour payoff is very good. The consistency of the paints are creamy and seem easy to use. I look forward to giving them a good go.

After having bought watercolor pallets where the paint has been dry and chalky no matter what I was searching for a watercolor pallets where the paints were 'gooey', for want of a better word, when mixed with water. This pallets not only has the 'gooey paint that I was looking for but the colours are so vivid and beautiful, they're a delight to use. I keep checking for other paint pallets from this seller. I highly recommend these paints.

This useful little set of paints arrived with all the actual 1/4 pan paints fallen out of their pans, in a jumble, leaving crumbs of paint on each other. No list of paint colour names is a nuisance too.I expect better from CSY Studio. I have many of their sets as I work with metallics/pearlescent colours a lot. Their paints are usually very good as is their presentation, but this time it was a mess. A piece of bubble wrap inside the case would have avoided the issue of paints falling out of their pans.

Purchased during Prime Day for under £16.Delivery was prompt (through Amazon) and the item was well-packaged, although one of the watercolours had slipped from the pan. It was whole, however, and slid straight back into the pan and hasn't budged since.The pans are quarter pans (as stated in the item name, so not sure why any purchaser would be surprised by this), but I personally don't use metallics for the majority of a piece and instead use for highlights/points of interest, and occasionally use metallics for calligraphy.I have swatched these on white watercolour card and found that the swatches on the item page were very accurate. They're beautifully pigmented with a small amount of water, and equally delightful with a large amount of water to create a delicate and sparkling wash. As these are handmade, you may find that you occasionally get "lumps" that you may not be used to - just add a touch more water, either to the pan or onto the paper, and these lumps will dissolve out. This is just the nature of handmade watercolours, and absolutely does not detract from the quality of the paints.Highly recommended!

Swatched on white frisk 300gsm cold press watercolour paper the Paints were well pigmented with a lovely shine to them.A few had come loose in the box but were undamaged and popped straight back in.My first time buying handmade watercolours so pleasantly surprised by the quality and looking forward to using them.I would certainly buy from CSY again

I've test swatched these water colours on air dry clay with a base coat of white. I will say that the colours aren't as 'vibrant' as what they would appear on paper, however they still show nicely and havr a beautiful sheen. Just what I was looking for. Many thanks.
