Excellent Once You're Up and Running
I'm switching from a Fitbit Versa 3 because it scratched too easily. I also owned the first Samsung watch years ago. The GT 3 Pro is beautiful and feels premium.PAIRING AND INITIAL SETUPI have a Samsung Z Fold 3 phone and the initial setup and pairing was quite laborious and tedious. It took a while to get the app to pair, after downloading newer versions, creating an account, re-signing in several times, verifying, downloading other apps, enabling permissions that were supposed to have already been enabled, etc. It all felt extremely clunky compared to Samsung and Fitbit.Once paired, I found still more apps were needed for other functions, such as the ECG and then the watch itself ran two updates, each taking around 15 minutes which meant I couldn't play around with the setting yet.HUAWEI HEALTH APPThe Huawei health app is the main app you'll use to interact with your watch and to view your watch's data. Once it is set up, the UI is quite pleasant and intuitive. The data is presented in a useful way and it's more indepeth than either Samsung or Fitbit offered me (even with Fitbit premium membership). You can change your watch face via this app and they've added a category for free watch faces now.As well as the presentation of the usual health data (heart rate, SpO², steps, exercise logs, stress levels, weight, sleep, skin temperature), it also has an ECG function and an arterial stiffness monitor. They also offer health plans you can follow and a community.THE WATCHThe materials and design are excellent. Mine came with a nice grey leather strap which I'll use for certain occasions but which I've replaced with a silicone strap I bought on Amazon for everyday use and workouts. The mechanism to replace the strap is fairly straightforward. The screen is smooth and does not pick up fingerprints easily. The crown is satisfying to use.The sensors are smooth and sit comfortably on my wrist.Battery life is fantastic (I had to charge each day with Fitbit) and even with all of the features on, I am sure I'd get at least two days, probably more out of this watch. The speaker is incredible for the size.WATCH SOFTWARE AND APPSHarmonyOS seems to run very smoothly. There's never any lag. The watch detects when I raise my arm to view it much more efficiently than my Fitbit did and the addition of the always on display option is ideal. The workout tracker is good. All the information I need is present to see. Fitbit's workout tracker screen didn't even show me the current time! This watch tells you when you are engaged in fat burning, aerobic and anaerobic activities, displays current heart rate, timer for workout, calories burned and the current time.I found the auto workout detection for walking to be poor. It engages after about 10 mins but the step counter seems accurate.I can control the music playing on my phone, take calls, see notifications and use quick replies. I can navigate using Google Maps (after installing a Huawei app on my watch and phone that syncs with it). I can see the weather, use a stopwatch or timer, see the moon phase, take my temperature, monitor my heart rate, run an ECG, check my blood oxygenation levels, do breathing exercises, use a compass, set an alarm etc.The 3rd party apps are limited. Some music and fitness apps and some navigation apps and puzzles and a calculator. But it has all of the features I personally need.I'm only missing NFC payment option and then it would be ideal.

Gorgeous Watch but still not quite smart enough
This watch is a serious bit of kit. However, if you've read my review of the watch active then you will know my thoughts and the limitations of Hauwei smartwatches. I so wanted this updated version to be different. However, If you want the full smartwatch integration be it ios or android this watch isn't for you. No Google services no Apple pay. And if you do not have a Huawei phone no voice assistant. Only quick replies to messages you can't expand them and if you clear them on your watch and you use an android device they still remain as pop ups on the phone. So even if you.gwt through loading the Hauwei Health app and provide all the permissions you still do not have full integration. Likewise if you want to sync to Google Fit or Samsung Health, you will need to install Health Sync to pull across the data. More power drain and more integration issues for the phone. These are the negatives. The positives. Super battery life. Watch turned up with 65% charge I set it up played with did 2 runs wirh gps played some and used it for sleep tracking and had all the sensors enabled. Lost 10% over 24 hours. Incredible. The watch is probably the best looking smartwatch I have owned. It's beautiful, bright and the colours pop. Loads of watch faces. Tracking seems good. Syncs well with Hauwei Health as long as the app doesn't keep crashing, the software - Harmony OS 2 is basic compared to IoS or Wear OS but it's fine. The fitness apps and coach are super. The question will be if you're in the Huawei eco system then the watch will give a little more of a seamless integration and perhaps more functionality. For me I want to embrace all smartchwatches do. So Sri or Google Assistant. Strava, Spotify and the like. You just can't do this with Hauwei smartwatches. Reluctantly I returned mine and back wearing the Samsung Galaxy Classic4. I don't like having to charge the watch every 36 hours hence why I tried the GT pro 3 but ultimately I want to the ability to do more. The question you need to ask is sacrifice functionality for superior battery life and a fabulously stunning watch or the ability to do all that you want with an IoS or Wear OS watch. I have a feeling I will continue to look at Hauwei watches as Harmony OS develops. Its just not for me at this time. Good luck with your choices.

Very well made and good looking.
One of a range of watches each with slightly different functions. Very wide range of functions on this model, each of which performs well. Small range of free watch faces and a very large range of faces which need to be purchased and downloaded. I found that the screen was generally too busy and it was not possible for me to pick out the hands from the general clutter and so settled on a digital watch face. Easy to pair with the phone app.

Fantastic...!!!
Bought one after reading the positive reviews and very impressed with it. Did three updates to get to the latest software version. Huawei enabled ECG function after acquired CE certification in UK. You can also check arterial stiffness with this watch..!! Battery level is at 65% after all the updates and three days of use..!! Very pleased... You cant use it for contactless payments yet but I think they will bring it in future updates..

Great watch - defective strap.
An almost perfect product. I won't get wax lyrical on all the tech functions except to say: it works, it looks good and it has many great features. As you can see from my photo however, the sprung bar in the strap had eroded through the leather within 4 weeks of purchase. The small lever you grip to slide the bar and remove the strap is very sharp: and it has literally cut through the leather. I have tried to secure a replacement - but Amazon and Huawei are disinterested. As a result i've had to purchase an inferior silicone strap to replace it. Disappointed.
