My absolute favorite hand held zapper! A fantastic product!!

Thank goodness I don't need to use this zapper often but I'm so glad I have it! It's a lifesaver to me when a nuisance fly, spider, or similar unwanted insect appears. It works great!

However, even with a missing thumb screw, I rate this electric fly-swatter quite highly.For the first time in all the electric fly-switters I've owned over the years -- Alas and alack, most manufacturers of these devices seem to be wedded to the tennis racket paradigm, and have been for at least three 30 years! -- a slightly oblong swatting surface, allowing one to get those pesky bugs in the corners. Thanx, Black Flag, for this technological innovation! 💋The next technological advancement, a head that swivels, is something I've never even thought of! One might prefer a more elegant design that doesn't involve adjusting a thumb screw; but this is another first.Speaking of thumb screws, one might expect to have one included with the unit... Furthermore, when I explored the Chinglish instructions on the package, I found them severely lacking. Now, I'm quite adept at understanding Chinglish from my daze traveling with the Chinese Energetic Medicine Show, with it's Chinglish-speaking founder. These instructions were pretty straightforward, with one exception, they misnamed one key component, to wit, they called the thumb screw, a "black hinge." As you can see from the photo, the hinge is clearly GREEN, NOT BLACK! What's so puzzling, is, since China has such a huge proportion of their population educated as engineers, one might have expected more accuracy in their instructions. I took out a magnifying glass, and studied the illustration. It turns out, the only thing that's black anywhere near the hinge is a black, star-shaped thumb screw, causing deep regret that I hadn't culled them from a plastic pedestal fan I dumped last spring when it stopped.What to do to stabilize my new electric fly swatter? Knowing that the Chinese use off-the-shelf parts to save money, I searched Amazon for star-shaped thumb screws, found, and ordered them. They should arrive tomorrow. Then, I'll be able to use my excellent new electric fly swatter, without the head flopping and swinging back and forth! How excellent will that be?

I had a nasty yellow jacket nest located under the steps to my deck. It was a dark corner of the steps; very hard to get to. I utubed a video that showed using the product to rid a yellow jacket nest. The nest portrayed was out in an open field. So unlike my nasty hard to get to nest. However, I marched on and bought this product and planned to use it as in the utube video. I was not convinced my plan would work so I called two pest services to get rid of the nest. One would charge $300.00, the other quoted $139 and could come right away. Yikes!!!! expensive. Back to my first plan. The bug zappers arrived. One did not work. Yuck! Arranged to send them back to Amazon. Got a label, blah, blah! Then, I decided to try the second zapper on the nest hidden in the darkest recess of the steps. I donned my ski outfit, goggles, and bundles up with no skin available for a sting. I put the batteries in the zapper. I attached a long rope to the handle so eventually I could pull it out from the top of the nest. I used a flashlight to locate what I thought might be the entrance to the nest. In the early morning, protected, I slithered to the spot under the deck, under the steps and laid the zapper over the top of the nest. I had used tape to secure the red button so the zapper would continuously zap for the life of the batteries. I was called away for the weekend. When I returned, I used the rope to safely pull out the zapper. Guess what?? I counted 145 dead yellow jackets. Some were on top of the zapper. Others were zapped trying to get out of the nest. It worked. I no longer had a yellow jacket nest. Okay, so one zapper did not work but the other did the job and saved me lots of money. Be sure to view the video on utube.

This thing runs on AA batteries as I recall, yet somehow it is powerful enough to take down wasps, though I would not recommend trying to do so. I am not responsible if you get stung! All I can tell you is that *I* took down a belligerent wasp with it, and it audibly popped when I hit it. It will zap such pests as pantry moths, which is mainly what I got it for. They will literally pop and you can see the sparks. And yet, somehow, it does this on AA batteries. Amazing! They have been fried with SCIENCE! ;)Now, I feel like I have to say that most bugs do not mean you or your property any harm, so please don't harm living creatures for no reason. Pantry moths, however, most certainly do mean your property and food supplies harm.

Used this to kill a lot of moth and cleanse my home , free of any food moth in home . This is staying in my fridge top for any potential use , best part is extend all the way to the ceiling to destroy moth and all flys

We have a lot of nasty bugs here in Houston, Texas! I ordered this product on Oct 1, 2022, and both “rackets” worked well—still do. I ordered another pair on April 1, 2023, and as if to honor April Fool’s Day, BOTH arrived DOA! (No power going to electric screens, no hissing sound of them working.) Unfortunately, I didn’t test them out right away, and they were past their return date by the time I realized they had both arrived dead. Only 3-stars because of getting a dud pair!Of the set that works I’ll say this: it’s a good product! A major design flaw, however, is that they use 2 AA batteries. I use eneloop 2000mAh AA rechargeable batteries, and these “rackets” eat through fully charged batteries VERY quickly! These SHOULD have been designed to use 2 C batteries (for longer life) instead of AAs! That said, I’ve successfully zapped house moths, fruit flies, mosquitos, flies…I’ve even managed to zap a couple cockroaches by pinning them between the carpet and the electrified “racket!” (The tricky part is *catching* them in the first place! They are fast!)Good product (though a battery-eater), but be sure to test them out right away!
