Not sure how long they will last, but, we added approx. 35 lbs of pea gravel to each one and zip tied them to the pool steps. I picked them up by holding under the bags as I wasn't sure how seams and handles would hold up when filled. I am sure there was enough room in them to hold 50 lbs of sand or gravel. So far they are doing a great job of keeping the steps from floating up. Price was good and quality seems okay so far.

Anyone who has ever used these knows that they explode after one season and leave a horrible mess of sand on the floor of their pool. These are one season only folks. Lol

So I bought these to fill with sand and put in my pool to hold the steps down. They appeared to be a much better plastic than the giant zip lock bags that came with the steps and rotted within 2 months. Put the sand in 1/2 full as instructions noted, so far so good. Put them in my garage to wait until I opened the pool for the season. Opened pool today, went to grab the bags from the garage, and as was walking to the pool the handles peeled right off, exposing the opening they were poorly glued to and the sand started leaking out. Of course my return window closed last week, so now I got one bag still together and another which is worthless. If you are looking for something good, don't buy these.

These were a great price and had decent reviews so I thought I would give them a shot. I was impressed with the thickness of the plastic they are made from and I like that there are 2 handles: one on the top and one on the side. I just didn't realize how hard it would be to get the sand in! The hole is half the size of the other ones I had- if even half. I attempted a few different funnels (homemade and regular ones) and NOTHING worked. I eventually cut the spout off a gallon water container and duct taped the rest of the bottle to the opening... I was then finally able to fill it about 75% of the way before I got frustrated with it spilling all over and called it good. The positive side of it is that it IS working. I was able to get it behind my "entrance system" (steps,lol) and onto the bottom brace and just one bag is holding the ladder down. And since there is NO WAY I am voluntarily going through all that again I now have a spare! Hopefully it will hold up to the water pressure. If you can figure out a way to fill them that's better than my method then you should take the chance and buy them...

These sand bags were great. Not easy to fill but once they were they held our steps down for the swim season. The best thing was they did not create in green algae under the steps.

Perfect product to anchor down our pool steps. We used 4 of these that were easy to fill and the handles made them easy to maneuver for installation. These are exactly as described and will use them every season when we open our pool.

Filled with water to use as weights for an outdoor projector screen and one of them split open along a top seam right away :( The other one seems fine, but 50% of what we required to hold up our screen was immediately rendered useless and kinda wrecked our movie night.
