Holy Jolokia Hot Sauce

Classic ghost pepper flavor, decent heat. A very versatile and flavorful sauce.

Very good for adding a jolt of heat. Fairly clean flavor. I do not run through it quickly but it is one I keep in the pantry for more intense heat than Louisiana red sauces can muster.

I LOVE this sauce, my favorite daily sauce.The bottle however... The opening to the bottle has changed. It used to be restricted, so you could disposite one drop at a time. Now, it's an open top.

I did a fair amount of research before purchasing the Holy Jolokia sauce. I selected this because it was pure Bhut Jolokia, not cut with Habaneros or other. Given that the bhut jolokia is rated at 1,000,000 SHU, I was expecting some FIRE. Tabasco sauce is up to 5,000 SHU. Tabasco Habanero sauce is 7,000+. This should be BLAZING. Instead it is somewhere between original tabasco and tabasco habanero sauce. Maybe 6,000 SHU.It has a mildly sweet flavor and a hint of orange and the heat hits differently, more on the tip of the tongue and the back of the throat. The burn dissipates quickly and there's no real "morning after" problems.To be rather honest, I was expecting more.

I first had this sauce in texas, and quickly grew to love it like a child. My heartbreaking disappointment when it was soon finished was enormous, and my search for more began. This seller sent it quickly, in good packaging so that it did not break, and it was just as advertised. The sauce itself is both flavorful AND spicy, where other sauces are either deliciously flavorful OR spicy. A great for hot sauce enthusiasts everywhere

There are other brands I eat that are high on the Scoville scale and this promised an even higher Scoville rating, but when I tried it...literally no heat.Would not recommend.

A friend on mine gave me a bottle of the Holy Jolokia Hot Sauce (5 ounce) and I've been hooked ever since. This stuff is HOT but its the flavor that will have you going back for more. Tastes great on any Mexican dish. If you like Ghost Peppers you will love this stuff!

I am pretty familiar with extremely hot sauces and this one is a surprise. Beyond bringing the heat, it is delicious which is unusual.
