Great compasses! Note that the points are rather sharp
The compasses seem to work pretty great! The needle points are, of course, rather sharp... Some of them have broken already, but I suspect this is not due to a lack of quality, but rather the terrible treatment of materials by the students. The compasses were a bit difficult to set up on their very first usage because they were so tight, but after that they have been working great.

Best compasses
These are by far the best compasses to use for geometry class. This year I have 130+ students in geometry and I have them do designs using the compass and straightedge. Other compasses "wobble" when you try to draw arcs, but these are solid. They are easily tightened and easily loosened.

Easily tighten over and over again
I bought these for my classroom and love them! No more issues with the compass being too loose.

A sturdy conpass kids won't break.
These are so cute! This set is godsend to me. I needed compasses for my students, but I could NOT by anything made of plastic because bored high school students will absolutely try to break them by bending them. So when it comes to tools, I look only for metal because it's durable.I intentionally sought out Circle Master's compass because I found/had obky five (brown variant) compasses. Having a class sizes up to 25+, I need more than five compasses. These are great, feel durable as I expected/hope, and while yes, the needle is pointy, it's not an issue to me. It works very simple, just fasten or loosen the screw to adjust the height of the pencil. Do note that this will also loosen the black needle, however that can fixed by carefully superglue the needle in place - so a non-issue to me.If you have students that try, even if absent-mindedly, break plastic compasses, however "professional compasses" are way too expensive (and barely offered in classroom sets) - this is a great compass!
