I purchased this unit as a dedicated speaker for my desktop PC. So far, it has not worked as I expected. If I plug in the audio cable to the sound card and also plug in the usb to keep it charged, I get a very noticeable hum. It is loud enough to be an annoyance when no music etc. is playing, and I believe muddies the sound when you do have music or other content playing. It sounds better just running on battery, even though not as good as I expected from the other reviews. IMO this unit is more suited as a battery operated blue tooth speaker when your out camping or at the park.

Very happy with this speaker. I have several bose bluetooths and this is close in many ways. The 3D setting is astounding for the width of the soundstage. I paid $49.00 and would have paid more.

Sound quality is good but it had power converter issues. Had to stop using USB power from my laptop, speaker would shut off constantly. Using A/C converter works better, but occasionally the power still drops and I have to pull the plug and reinsert to get the speaker to power up again.

does not work as discribed. always need to push off button, disconnect USB power line, reconnect USB power, push power on to hear "LINE IN". will not work with battery...battery defective??? sound is wonderful, but does not work as discribed. very, very disappointed.

Pay attention to the product description here! This unit is a Bluetooth and wireless unit and cannot be used with the older red and white wire connections. There is no optical cable as well.

Overall, this sound bar works great ... except for one thing. My model was programmed to use a loud voice to remind users that Bluetooth is connected or disconnected, and the voice is loud and repeats every 30 seconds or so when disconnected. I cannot find a way to turn off the voice, so I have to keep powering it up and down. Makes the unit unusable.

Everybody loves the audio, but a woofer tore, and micro-USB charging connector got defective, in 4 months.
