I order Pure Encapsulations regularly from Amazon and have had no problems. However, I noticed there was no plastic safety collar on the bottle this time. The inner seal was intact, but I still was concerned. On going through the return procedure, Amazon defers you to the vendors telephone number. I called that number and was told that Pure Encapsulations was eliminating the plastic collars. Some bottles would still arrive with them until all had been phased out. The vendor gave me a number for Pure Encapsulations company, and on calling them, the representative confirmed the collars are being phased out to reduce plastic from the environment. I post this, in case anyone else is concerned when receiving the products in the future.
