Frontera Pouch, Fajita Skillet, 8-Ounce (Pack of 6)

I solved the heat problem by doubling up on the meat that I used and using lots of frozen veggies mostly red peppers and onions. I also had some Safeway Select Sweet Potato & Pumpkin Bisque, so I added about half of that small container in the mix. Pumpkin and Sweet Potato are traditional Mexican foods so it turned a rather ho-hum sauce into a really nice creamy, slightly spicy sauce with a deep complex construction. I served it over Safeway Select Brown Rice, with Wild Rice and Quinoa which I added to plain cooked brown rice. The sauce was complex enough to add interest and nuance to the brown rice and Quinoa. I used canned chicken. I used two brands. I liked one of them and use it all the time - but I can't remember the name of it. I also used Trader Joe's canned chicken breast. It was not what I expected. It was much fattier than the other brand which is lean and more dense. The stock that came out of the canned Trader Joe's white meat chicken was cloudy and you could see the fat globules in it. The other brand has clear stock like tuna.I cooked it all down till it was just moist meat and veggies and the meat was soft and like pulled pork. I wish I had had some fresh white or blue corn tortillas because I thought the rice was too heavy and took some of the magic away from the sauce and veggies. They would have made awesome tacos. I do have some whole wheat hamburger buns. I may try the leftover mixture on buns grilled in butter like pulled pork would be served on. BBQ or Teryiaki sauce could be added to this Fajita sauce to take some of the spicy out, but not take the interesting lime and Chipotle tastes away.

This fajita mix is the best I've ever had. I cook my meat and vegetables then add the fajita sauce in the last 10-15 min. We love it!!

I LOVE this sauce. I make fajitas frequently and when I go to the store, this is ALWAYS out. So I bought a package of six from Amazon and I will continue to buy from Amazon. But back to the sauce...it is SO good. It's the best sauce I have ever had on fajitas. My family loves it as well. I cook up some chicken, then I brown sweet onions and lots of peppers, all colors. Then I pour the sauce on, I let it boil for about a minute. It does not get super thick, but mmm, it tastes so good.I think I'll make fajitas for dinner tonight!

This is the best tasting, and easiest to make mix I've ever had. Just spicy enough to say it has "spicy flavor", but NOT HOT. PERFECT for steak or chicken. Haven't tried pork yet......but that's next.

We've had fajitas with this sauce about 10 times and still love it, as have everyone we've introduced to it. Their taco sauce - not so much. Prefer Ortega's dry mix.

This is by far my most favorite flavor from Frontera. My daughter and I love this and usually eat it 3 - 4 times a month (if not more). One of the main ingredients is soy sauce, so if you go in thinking it is going to taste like traditional fajita seasoning you may be disappointed.However, if you go in just looking for a great taste on chicken with no preconceived thoughts on how it SHOULD taste, I am sure you will absolutely love it.

I don't cook much and my husband works nights. It's hard for me to keep a lot of ingredients. I've been looking for pre-made sauces that aren't filled with preservatives. While out of town I went to a fresh market that had this sauce. I was flying back and wasn't comfortable flying with fajita sauce in my luggage. Of course when I looked on Amazon, there it was. I placed my order and used it a few days later. I've made fajitas twice now with this sauce and am very happy with it. My husband is a stickler for flavor and he gobbled this up quickly.I'd recommend this to anyone looking to save aggravation and/or looking for a great sauce. Two thumbs up.

Our local stores quit carrying this item and we used it often and missed it. We amke steak fajitas quite often as they are easy and delicious.
