I’m a little sensitive to smells and perfumes sometimes find the original Sanctuary Spa body lotion smell a little overpowering even if I appreciate it doesn’t break down into that cheap-smelling perfume scent found often in highly-scented drugstore lotions. However, I have always loved the moisturizing effect of the Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Body Lotion and wanted to try it in a different scent and got this on offer. While this doesn’t moisturize as well as the Ultra Rich Body Lotion and is a lot less glossy and oily, it does a fair job moisturizing and if you don’t like to feel the moisturizer or the glow on your skin, you’ll like this a lot more. For me however, where this wins is the scent. It is definitely a more special, nicer, less sharp smell. It’s like you’ve got on a really nice perfume that is a grown up and expensive oud, but not as powerful and overpowering as oud can be- kind of a softer, more toned down version that lingers lightly and fades really well over the day so that you get hints of it but not in a way that is too much. I love this scent and this lotion and would definitely repurchase. The petals in it ARE gimmicky but I don’t mind, I think of them as little bits of oil that improve the moisture and goow. Highly recommend.

Lovely cream, smells great and easy to rub in, leaves all skin silky soft.

I love the smell of this - very moisturising and the scent lasts . It’s very perfumed which I like. Not too sure about the little pearls in it - they do rub into the skin but you need to double check you don’t have little bobbles of it on your legs

Usual sanctuary quality, suits my wife's sensative skin.

I was a little disappointed by this body butter/lotion. I like Sanctuary Spa as a brand and have previously enjoyed their products for the quality but also the unique scents to their products. I saw this advertised and read rose oud, this being one of my favourite scents so I had to try it.The scent is extremely subtle. Upon opening the container and smelling the lotion, I could barely smell the rose. Albeit, it was a little stronger upon application but was definitely expecting the scent to be stronger so that I could actually smell it on my body.The body lotion itself is nice and moisturising, not sticky or oily. A little too thin in texture for my taste but still left my skin feeling soft. However, the little gold particles within the lotion were a little annoying in the sense that some of them didn't burst when rubbing in the lotion. I had to go back to them and manually burst them or they'd just be left sitting on my skin.For it's fit purpose, it does leave the skin smooth and moisturised, however, it's not something I would buy again, sadly.
