Pros: This text, unlike the "2500 Solved Problems" gives a nice description of what's going on before the problem sets so you have a reference point before jumping straight into calculations. A nice reference for extra problems if your homework assignments are slim and few. Great for getting a little extra practice before an exam.Cons: Like the "2500 Solved Problems" text, this also uses BG units way too much. We can all complete a unit conversion, Schaum, so let's focus on the concepts and cut it out with this insanity. If your engineering program emphasizes BG units, by all means buy this text. If you almost exclusively use SI units, you're only going to be interested in doing about half of the problems (of which there are only a few to begin with). A lot of the problems recommend MathCad for solving, which I don't use (nor am I interested in purchasing it just to do problems from a supplemental reference text).

More applications-oriented rather than pure theoretical derivations. Great reference for the working engineer.

Tenía la versión en español, una edición pasada, la preste y no volvió pero ya por fin pude adquirirlo de nuevo a un buen precio y ahora incluyen video explicativos de cómo lo resuelven, el contenido es muy preciso en la teoría que rápidamente se pone en práctica con todos los ejercicios que trae.

大学で外書購読用に買いましたが、使いませんでした。Timoshenko の "Stregth of materials"の内容とほぼ同じでしたのそちらのほうを使いました。

Permite explicar a los alumnos con más detalle los conceptos básicos para realizar trabajos de Ingeniería de Fluidos. Los ejercicios son muy prácticos

Shaums are very good and particularly with the problems they present and solve, the main problem is that the syllabus I teach is somewhat different
