I returned the first one as it arrived broken- very poor packaging. But, I liked the looks of it so much that I ordered another. That one wasn't broken, so now I am quite happy. It is cute! But, don't order it if you need it asap because you might need to try a couple orders to get one that is in one piece. Also, keep in mind, that some care will be needed in handling it.

While this chalkboard looks very nice, the actual chalkboard part has a weird, plastic-y finish that is not at all like a traditional chalkboard. It did not take the chalk very well and the writing and designs are very faint. I can't imagine that they used chalk in the illustration for this product. Perhaps chalk markers (a paint product, not actual chalk) might work better but I want to use traditional chalk that can be erased. I'm surprised that none of the other reviews mention this problem.

This product is poorly made. After a week I had to re-nail and re-glue the "chalkboard" to the frame. I purchased several of the recommended chalk marker types. To erase message it took several cleaners with a scrubby sponge and a lot of effort to clean the surface. I never saved any of the packing material otherwise I would send it back.. Don't be deceived by positive reviews like I was!Not

I bought this item to use at craft shows. When it arrived, it appeared to have been used and re-sold as new. The board had clearly had chalk on it before. One of the hinges were loose, so we had to break the bottom string to be able to get to the loose screw. It's an ok product. The quality is not worth the price. I would not purchase it again from this seller.

I’ve had this 6 months and have had to fix it 3 times already. The staples are not nearly long enough to keep the chalkboard into the frame. The hinges came apart from the frame two weeks ago, and the frame itself cracked several times. It should be sturdier for outdoor use. Indoor use it would probably be ok. Poor quality in my eyes.

I loved this until it broke the first day I set it out. It was expensive for the quality of it :(

The new definition of worthless. This product lasted less than a month and only used 2-3 times. The screws came out and my husband tried to repair it with wood glue, but as soon as it was set up it cracked again. I loved the way it looked when we first purchased it, but that's the only positive comment that can be made.
