CAP Barbell Rubber Hex Dumbbell Set with Storage Rack

I love these kind of dumbbells. The rubber coating is solid and the hexagonal shape keeps them from rolling away like my round dumbbells. The shape of the grips is perfect and the knurled finish keeps them from feeling slippery when you're workout gets heated.The rack went together very easy and the build quality is substantial. The provided allen wrench is of decent quality but be careful as you tighten - I slipped once and nicked the paint finish in on spot. Also pay attention to how many washers you have. I was silly and didn't count them beforehand and the first couple I only used one washer. There is two for each bolt/nut combo to place on both sides (I had to just remove a couple and throw those washes in place).As far as fitting all the weights on the rack it was easy. You just have to have the 5lb weights split between top/bottom racks. Here is an example of how I arranged the weights on the rack:Top Rack: 10 - 10 - 5 - 20 - 20Bottom Rack: 15 - 15 - 5 - 25 - 25Notes: The Rack does not have any rubber feet on the bottom. I think it should have some but I lined the bottom with black duct tape and set in on some cardboard cut to act as a scuff guard.The weights themselves will have some residue on the handles and rubber coating. Probably the rubber release wax/oil/coating during production. I just wiped mine off with paper towels.I didn't notice any odors from the weights due to the rubber coating off-gassing but I have heard some folks had that happen. I imagine it would dissipate in a few days. I keep mine in the garage so there are other odors probably masking it.I will have to add some heavier weights when I get BIGG.

Value for your money. They arrived a week earlier than expected. I have been looking for weights for a while and it was going to cost more to buy them in pairs not to mention the additional money for the rack. The weights are awesome, they don’t smell bad at all (like the other reviewers reported) and as you can tell from my picture, they all fit in the weight rack. I assembled the rack by myself. It took me literally less that 30 minutes to put it together. All you need is wrench. I highly recommend this product!

Was concerned that the rack would be cheap based on some of the other review. Happy to report the rack is sturdy, and fit all the weights that’s came with it. You may have some difficulty adding a set of 30lbs dumbbells in but you can always stack the 5lbs and then it would fit nicely.The dumbbells are great no complaints what’s so ever with them.My only complaint was with the shipping. When I got my packages the 10lb dumbbell box was tore open and the dumbbell was exposed. Thankfully no damage was done so I guess no harm no foul. My packages did come much quicker than expected by almost a week. All in all I would buy from them again

Shipment came earlier than expected via two deliveries over two days. Set up of rack was super easy. Was worried after reading complaining reviews about all dumbbells not fitting on rack, but mine all fit easily with even some wiggle room (see photo). The other review complaints about them having a “greasy feeling” was cured with a quick towel wipe down. Been using them frequently for past month and they feel great in the hand, plus easy to grab off and on rack. There is not one thing that is not up to my expectations. So great for the little home gym! A real SCORE!YAY! 💪🏽😎👍🏽

I just received the weight set, assembled it and have used it for a week. Here are my observations.Pro:The weights are attractive, well made, comfortable to use and easy to handle.The rack is robust and stable.If you line up the weights 25/20/15/10/5 on each shelf they fit, snugly.Pro/Con:As long as you are careful with the supplied Allen key and have an adjustable wrench or vice grip, assembly is fairly simple.Cons:The weights have a very pungent rubber smell which is not at all pleasant. Leave them in a ventilated area. (hopefully the smell will go away)If you like your weights to be on the shelf in matched pairs, the 5 lb weights will not fit. Leave then on the floor under the rack.The Allen key works but by the last screw was starting to round. Best to have a spare.

I purchased this Rubber Hex Dumbell Set from Amazon 2 months ago. My wife and I use it everyday. Yes, the 5 lb weights does not fit on the rack, but they do underneath. The rack is very sturdy and the rubberized weights well made. If you face the screws outward in assembly you'll have more room on the racks. The smell? Minimal in my garage and was gone within a week. I've been weight lifting my whole life, many, many gyms: this is a nice gym quality home product.
