Q: Can the roof be assembled to slope towards the front of the shed?

Glad I found out the roof can't be assembled in the other direction. No one should be buying this if you're putting it up against the house it will drain all the water towards your foundation. Not the best design. It should be up to the buyer as to which way they're roof slants.

Q: Does it rust? Live near the cosst and corrosion is a concern

The plastic will not rust but will degrade in time from UV rays. Takes a long time though. The metal parts - you may want to spray them with the following so salt air does not corrode them faster: Loctite Rust Neutralizer, Rust Primer, Rust Preventing Marine Spray Paint. Use stainless steel screws instead of supplied ones, or... spray head with Loctite after installing, let dry, then cover head with grease. All hardware like latches, hinges, brackets - follow the Loctite spray method outlined. Do not spray screw threads, but maybe a white Lithium grease that sticks to it. There is a nice truck bedliner paint called Duramax that is a polyurethane - solvent is Xylene only. If you paint the shed exterior with this, or any Marine paint, you will prevent salt air corrosion on plastic.
