A Taste-Test Comparison :-)
I love strong, dark-roast coffee. My go-tos are (1) Green Mountain's Dark Magic, (2) Peet's Major Dickason's Blend, and (3) San Francisco Bay's Extra Dark Italian. So today, I compared Death Wish Dark Roast (DW) vs. Green Mountain Dark Magic (GM). Here are the results:Appearance & Texture - both were already in ground form, so I could not compare the beans in terms of oily vs. dry, etc. The gounds, as seen in the photo, appeared to be the same in color. Texture of the grounds were also comparable.Smell - from the bag, GM was slightly more aromatic than DW, but they both gave off the delicious smell of fresh coffee. After brewing, again GM's smell was slightly stronger.Taste - As with the slightly stronger smell from GM, GM had a slightly (and when I say slightly, I mean really tiny) bit of an extra bite after you swallow. On the other hand, I found DW to be smoother when swallowed.Brewing - I brewed both with 8oz cold, filtered water, and no sugar. In summary, both DW and GM taste pretty much the same! You can't go wrong with either. They both have a strong, bold, rich flavor, with a wonderful smell. Therefore, I will now add Death Wish Dark Roast coffee to my list of go-tos. In my next analysis, I will compare DW espresso to my go-to Gavina espresso!NOTE: I did not include Peet's to the comparison analysis because Peet's and GM are also very similar, so I didn't bother. It was only added to the pictures for visual purposes.Hope this analysis helps!

Taste was superb. After kick was very doable, not a shakey or nervous feeling.
I usually don’t care for “designer” coffees. My granddaughter introduced me to Death Wish when she was a student at NAU (Northern Arizona University) in Flagstaff. Even the store clerk warned me about the strength of the caffeine rush. He said they sell the most around mid-terms & finals. Needless to say I loved it. Both the taste and kick afterwards were great. It was not the least bit bitter.

Not my preferred blend.. BUT…
I’m not usually a fruit flavored anything guy, but this coffee is far superior to any flavored coffee I have had. I am a huge fan of Death Wish coffee, though. I may be a little biased. My only complaint with them isn’t even their fault. I wish my local grocer would carry more of their coffees.

Great Taste but Not the Strongest Coffee in the World
I really enjoy the flavor of Death Wish Medium Roast. It is bold, smooth, and has a great balance for a high-caffeine coffee. However, the company’s claim that this is the strongest coffee in the world feels a bit exaggerated. Personally, I have tried other coffees that are stronger than this one. That being said, this coffee still packs a serious punch. A 12-ounce cup contains around 728 milligrams of caffeine. According to the Food and Drug Administration, the recommended daily limit for an adult is about 400 milligrams, so this is still much higher than most mainstream brands. To give you a better comparison, Death Wish Coffee contains roughly two and a half to three times the caffeine of a standard Starbucks coffee. It is definitely strong. One word of caution though. If you have heart problems or are sensitive to caffeine, you should be careful with this coffee. Not that you would actually do it, but if you drank around 16.9 cups of Death Wish Coffee in one day, you would be taking a permanent coffee break.Overall, this is a great coffee for people who enjoy a strong brew with good flavor. Just be mindful of the caffeine content and know your limits.

Blueberry coffee lovers.
If you like blueberry and strong coffee then you will like this. Has a good blueberry taste and smell to it. You can either brew 1 cup or a whole pot.

Deliciously bright and forward coffee.
Cold brewed it and added a tiny amount of sugar. 1:1 water to the cold brew extract.Darn good coffee. Well balanced, flavorful, not too acid, but still bright and astringent. It’s hard to keep from drinking too much. Worth the splurge.
