The pandemic skill I learned was to how to make old fashioneds. I had been using regular ice cubes but ordered these to try it out. The cubes are super easy to get out and stack well in the freezer. It adds that extra something to my cocktails!

The square one is easy to fill and get the ice cubes out.The round one is too much trouble to fill and get the sphere out.

My husband is a whiskey drinker and loves the big cubes when we go out so I bought these trays for him. They make perfectly sized cubes, but they are EXTREMELY hard to remove. If I run warm water on the bottom the cubes can get wet or melt a little and it kind of ruins the effect. I honestly don't know what to do about this because I've run into a similar problem with smaller silicone ice cube trays. I think these might work great for freezing stock or soup and then running warm water on the bottom might not be such an issue.

If you think this works like a plastic tray twist and drop cubes out--it hasn't happened yet. The water freezes and attaches itself to the silicone--so only way SO FAR-is for me to run water over each side and let water get under the ice cubes. Then they slide out---its not a big deal just don't expect them to just drop out.I will keep this because I wanted larger ice cubes. If you do not want larger cubes; not worth it.

I purchased these frozen water apartments because I wanted to provide a better living situation for my water. My water expressed that it needed to make something of itself and wanted to be something more that just liquid some day. I decided to help water out. I am happy to say that my water has now become something. It has become ice and has met cucumber water and they have started a family and have been reproducing more cubes. Water has even provided a roof over their heads. They are all snug until one or two move out but someone is always moving in. I heard egg wanted to come out of it's shell so egg may be moving into the guest apartments.
