Full Page Reading Magnifying Lens for Books, Menus

As I get older, (in my late 39's), my eyes aren't as good as they used to be. I love to read, and I don't want to get a stronger prescription, because my glasses would be even thicker. The Reading Book Magnifier has been a big help to me. I love to read my Bible, and this tool helps me a great deal. Even with a large print bible, there are study notes that are difficult to see with a pair of normal reading glasses. The size ensures that it covers an entire page, plus it's a lot cheaper than buying a stronger pair of eyeglasses.

Although it magnifies ever so slightly, the swirl in the PLASTIC lens makes everything blurry. When I magnify something, it is because it is small...slightly larger and then blurred...don't waste your money, there are a lot better products out there.

This works ok but is a little difficult to find a distance that works best from the print.

Very portable, no batteries

I buy books by the lot sometimes. Some are so old that the print is faded and really small. I tried a regular magnifying glass (the old hand held round type) and that was a pain to use as it only showed part of a sentence at a time.I found this magnifying lens and thought I would try it out. What a great buy!!! It's light weight shows almost 1/4 page at a time and shows the whole sentence at one time.I would recommend this to anyone who loves to read for hours at a time.

It's full page as advertised, but very flimsy, I went to the Craft Store, and found (2) wooden frames, that I could add edging to, and slipped the frame,into the edging I created, this makes it very strong, then I made a holder at a 40 degree angle, so it takes what I'm reading, and enlarges it, so Imade it work for me, I now have (2), one for home and one for work.

As a professional imaging scientist, I feel I know a little something about image quality. I was disappointed with the quality of this magnifier. The image was indeed larger in size than the object being viewed. But the image was so blurry and inconsistent that it did not make type easier to read. The magnifier I recieved was not fit for the advertised purpose.

The cost with shipping was 13.45 or something close to that. It is very flimsy. It should not have cost more that a few sheets of paper for the shipping. Also, you have to hold it 4 inches above the page to magnify at the correct size. And then it bends because it is so lightweight. It really does not work and is not worth the money.
