Super bright, more light, better dispersion.
I have an old tobacco barn now used to store lawn equipment, wood working tools and other stuff The barn was equipped with a 100 watt bulb overhead in each bay for a total of 16 bulbs. With all lights on, the barn was pretty well lit but still dark in the corners. At 400 watts per row, I HATE it when someone is forgetful and leaves a row or two of lights on overnight. I ordered 6 of these 25 watt led bulbs to test and man, what a difference!EDIT - I ordered more to change out the rest of my incandescents. Very satisfied.Pros: super bright with better dispersion of light. One fourth of the power consumption vs the incandescent bulbs.Cons: the instant on feature isn't truly instant. Ther is a 1 to 1.5 second delay after flipping the switch before the bulbs come on. Doesn't sound like much but it's very noticeable. When testing the first hulb, all the incandescents came on instantly and I thought the led bulb didn't work. This is not a show stopper by any means, just something to be aware of and get used to. Also the light is super ehite. Like operating room white. I knew this would be the case based of the specs given. You wouldn't want this harsh light in your den but it's fine in a barn, a garage or workspace. So, not really a con. Cost is high but more light with less energy use is worth it if they last.Bottom line: i'm ordering 8 more. I'm not replacing the last 2 bulbs on a separate switch that I rarely use. Time will tell if they're worth the extra cost vs incandescent bilbs.

A great solution for my poorly lit shop.
This bulb solved a real problem for me.I have a small shop that has only a single medium base fixture for lighting.A high powered CFL bulb won't get bright fast enough, especially in cold weather. Most high powered LED bulbs are too expensive. This COB bulb is very bright, and doesn't have a warm up time (though it is not instant on).Note: While the bulb may look like a corn cob, COB actually stands for "Chip on board".Thd bulb has some plastic end caps and row covers that the instructions say must be removed to used in enclosed areas. I left mine on since it's just hanging in the shop by itself. The heat sink design of the bulb is quite good, and I suspect the bulb will last a long time as a result.

Great light bulb! 4 years+
I’m back to buy another after almost exactly 4 years of using it in our garage, it’s now starting to flash… which I would assume means it’s ready to replace. Works great! Plenty bright for our garage. Turns on quickly & has exceeded my expectations in longevity. Highly recommend!!

It was bright until it wasn’t, and I only got as much use from it as a standard $2 lightbulb.
Updated review. Very disappointed with this light. It states it lasts up to ten years with 3.5 hours a day. I don’t use it anywhere close to that amount. Went in my garage today to see it just flickering. I bought this approximately 2 years ago, and at the time gave it 5 stars, you can see the original review below. The picture shows just how little light it is putting out, what you can’t see is that it is strobing.I bought this lightbulb because I wanted something very bright, that didn’t heat up. I had a 100 watt bulb where this one is now, and a few things ended up touching the bulb, and we narrowly avoided a fire. This looks to be a very quality built product, and came in the mail very quickly. I would recommend this bulb to anyone looking for a bright, safe, energy efficient bulb.

Short Life
Purchased 2 in August 2018. Both bulbs stopped working in December 2020. They were installed in outside, dusk to dawn fixtures on my Michigan garage. These bulbs were nice and bright while they lasted. They worked great through 2 winters, but this last winter, I had to take them inside to warm up in order for them to NOT BLINK all night long. Not sure what failed, but I only got about 12,000 hours out of both bulbs.

Super Bright White Light!
When they say SUPER Bright, they mean it. I don't think there is a shadow left in my garage. I did install it in my garage. It was easy to install. I am amazed with the projection. I have a 2 car garage and without the cars it's a sizeable space. With the light, I can see everything I never saw before without even trying. I think it's actually brighter than the sun because it's mostly white light, if that makes sense. The bulb stays nice and cool. The only thing I wish is that it were a little smaller so I could put it into my garage door opener; that light is way too dim in comparison now.

Lights Up Dim Garage
My two-stall garage has 13’ ceilings. For lighting, it just has two single bulb fixtures. With standard incandescent bulbs, the garage was pretty dim. I needed something bright that I could install using a pole with a bulb-changing attachment. I looked at those screw in lights with three aimable blades, but there was no way I could get them up to the fixture using my pole. These bulbs fit into my bulb-changing attachment. I found the light output they produce to be bright and even without being overpowering. It does take about half a second for the bulbs to come on.

Very blue daylight color temp, and a little expensive.
It's bright, but not as bright as I thought it would be. Also, I seem to have forgotten that the rest of the bulbs in my room are 5000k, so at 6500k, this was glaringly blue in comparison, and did not fit the room color temperature. My 25w 5000k bulb in another fixture looked better. At $30, and waaaaay too blue for even the garage, I have to return it. This is pricey for what it offers, even for a corn bulb.
