The one I got the perforated lines were uneven, and there were foggy white marks all over it. Defect or normal???

I don't know. But mine is Okay even uneven because I just use them as a floor mat in my new car. They gonna be dirty anyway. So to me no big deal. It protect my new car mat. They stick good. When I clean my car. I just peel them off and replace with new one. ( It works with it's purpose ).

This would be a pretty good product for that, however...this would be a two person job. If you know how tricky it is to work with scotch tape, multiply that by 20. The product will stick to itself and be difficult to unstuck. Also you will need a cutting tool nearby to precisely cut it how you want. It is pretty difficult to work with for one person.

Will the adhesive damage leather seats, especially on removal?

I'm not an expert so don't quote me on this but if you are using it on real leather, I don't think it will damage it if you slowly, carefully remove it. I'm not sure this would be adequate on leather. Your cutting skills and placement would have to be surgical to prevent the material from bunching up. I use this on the floor board of the vehicle and place my floor mats on top. That way it catches the dirt and debris the mats don't. It was extremely difficult to cut and place the material. Picture working with oversized masking tape x 10...it does do the job I intended it for though

Great product.

I use this heavy-duty auto adhesive floor mat to protect cars carpets after I detail them , and it worked perfectly. The 4 mil polyethylene is tough, keeping out water, dirt, and stains. It was easy to tear at the 24" perforations and install with no curling. The adhesive held firm but left no residue when removed. Versatile for cars or home use. Highly recommend for keeping carpets pristine!
