Sweater comb
Now I'm always on the lookout for a good sweater comb... Now I don't know if mine I received was defective or not but when I used it a couple times and it was a little harder for me,, and made me feel like I was damaging my clothes,, so I put it up just to have because I don't know If it was the material of my sweater I was trying it on or??? If I received a weird one outta the bunch.. Now I did try it on several different qualities and again noticed more of snagging than helping with the pillage.. But my daughter used it and she said it worked for her,, I didn't watch her do it so I really don't know.. Just for me wasn't my Hot diggity purchase... Cause I need a good sweater shaver... So yes,, a few for me it worked well but the rest was a no go,, daughter for what she needed it for worked so I'd say a 50/50 like with anything..

Works well, just not a fan of the look.
It's kind of an ugly little sucker compared to other sweater combs on the market The Laundress New York Sweater Comb but it gets the job done and it does it very well. I do regret not shelling out for the more expensive one just because it is such a practical item and I can tell i'll have it for a long time.In terms of doing what it's suppose to do, works wonders! Gets off all the pills and makes my old cashmere sweaters look fresh again. I do all of my sweaters (about 12, all 100% cashmere ranging from 1ply to 4ply) once a season. It works well on both the thin and thicker sweaters. The only one i've had a little bit of an issue with was a 4ply cable knit that had really deep details on it but with a bit of patients it still got the job done.

Don't buy a mechanical shaver ever again!
Do you own clothes? You should have one of these. I've had a mechanical shaver that cut holes in my clothes and then wore out after consuming way too many batteries. Never again! After that disaster I started shaving my clothes with a single-bladed disposable razor, but that takes forever and you still have to careful not to tear a hole in the fabric. This sweater comb is easy to use, safe for fabrics, and makes your clothes look like new! Well, maybe not brand-new, but embarrassing pills are a thing of the past with this comb. Sure, it's manual, so you will spend a little time shaving your clothes - but it's also great for quick-fixes on problem areas like under the arms. I used in on my dress this morning and was ready to go in a minute. You can save yourself the trouble of buying new clothes and save your favorites with this comb, and at this price there's no excuse. It works on sweaters, wool coats, and knits (including ponte knits) without damaging the fabric.

Best for maintaining coats
I think the key with this sweater comb is how you use it and on what items. I can see where some of the negative reviewers are coming from and my suggestion is this: it works best for maintaining winter coats and heavy sweaters. If you've gotten a nice new coat/sweater and want to keep the pills at bay this comb is great. Just touch it up every once in a while. For items that are already heavily pilled/fuzzed or delicate, it can be way too much work to be worth it, and for pieces like that I think a pill shaver or professional cleaning would be a better option. I find that the best way to use it is with very little pressure, working in quick short strokes, with the comb almost parallel to the fabric of the sweater.

Satisfied Results
I was pleasantly surprised by the results after using this comb on my cashmere cardigan. As you can see in the pictures, it gets the job done. I think it's also one of the cheapest piling removers in comparison to other alternatives (e.g., sweater stone and gleener). It was also easy to remove all the pilings from the comb. The two reasons why I gave this product four stars instead of five are because it's pretty time-consuming for large items with big surface areas and the fact that the item wasn't delivered by the estimated delivery date range.PROS:1. compact & easy to maneuver2. cheap3. gets job doneCONS:1. time-consuming for large items

Works amazing on plush blankets!
It works so well on plush blankets! An absolute must have- unless you like getting fuzz all over you from those super soft plush blankets. Only 4 stars because mine ripped a little- pretty much right away, but it does actually still work (as long as I only use 1 side of it). I plan to order another one and see if it does the same thing. Still worth the price either way!

Comb is better then electronic devices.
Simple easy to use tool for those annoying "pills" that pile up in rubbing areas. My problem area is always inner thighs that rub and create these pills. It's time consuming to remove them all but I've tried the electronic removers and they are crap. This comb does the job and after I feel like I have brand new pants. Highly recommend.

Not great for finer quality sweaters
I have used similar items in the past and they did the job at cleaning pills. However, you have to be careful which fiber you use this on. I think these combs work best on a lambswool sweater but not so much on cashmere or softer blends. I found that this one removed the pills but raised the fibers which still left the sweaters looking worn and not smooth like new. I would go with a good quality sweater shaver over this comb for finer quality sweaters if you want to maintain a like new condition.

Works very well for the price
It works great on thicker garments such as sweaters and coats (especially the ones made of wool or wool blend).I also used it on my Ikea Karlstad sofa cover in Isunda Grey (textured, woven fabric). Over time, the cover got a lot of rough little bumps and that little tool made it 100% smooth again. The only downside: not very safe with 100% acrylic or thinner pieces as it drags the fabric too much.Still, I think that for the price, it's a very good buy.

Did not work for me.
This did not work at all. There is a flimsy material behind the screen, feels like cardboard, it bends when you use it. Will not remove the pills from my sweater.I had a similar defuzzer from a craft shop years ago and it worked perfectly. The material was stiff and did not bend at all. Unfortunately I misplaced it.Definitely would not recommend this product.

Good sweater comb
This is a pretty good sweater comb and does what it needs to do. It's really satisfying watching the fuzz come off sweaters and this does the job. It doesn't look like it damages the sweater at all too!

Safer than the electric variety!
Did the job well! I was worried it would damage my sweaters as it seemed rough, turned out it did the job well and safely. Just test on a less obvious area to ensure it won’t harm your garment if it’s on the delicate or finely knitted side. Highly recommend.

Doesn't really work
For a scarf that is leaving tons of pills everywhere...does not work well. Spend the extra money and maybe get an electric one. I did not return as could not be bothered. Hopefully better luck on other fabrics.
