I am an avid traveler and adventure buff and have been looking to purchase this type of kit for quite some time. I also live in Florida during hurricane season and have been through several hurricanes—it’s funny how you don’t think about needing something like this until you are in the middle of a situation where its too late! Anyway, I tend to be very thrifty, so I was skeptical spending $350 on myself, but WOW is this thing worth every penny! I honestly can’t believe what they were able to fit compartmentalized into an 11-pound backpack (which is very comfortable, I might add). Not to mention you could make the bag even lighter by removing items depending on where your adventures are taking you. All of the items in the kit are of exceptional quality, and do not come across as “desperate measures” to save your life. One might not think of the importance of a water filter, for example, but this is a total essential for hurricane and power loss situations. The kit includes literally everything you would ever need in an emergency, and I know I will feel much more content traveling with it in the future. I LOVE the outer backpack part of it (did I mention that already?) and I think it can be used as a cooler, too! I definitely know what I will be getting my dad for Xmas this year;)Thanks!

Ok, it arrived today. First out of the gate the backpack has limited adjustment and does not fit an athletic 160lb man. Waist belt too big. Once I opened the backpack I pulled out the insert. Nice presentation I will say. Once opened I went through each compartment. Quality of gear is seriously lacking for this price. No water packets caught my attention early. Water filtration is useless in a survival situation if there is no water where you are. Need 3 days of water packets. Food bar is also not well thought out. Made in China shows on many of the items. Too much shark tank not enough real world. Sending back.

I bought this directly from the manufacturer to take advantage of a coupon. I live in earthquake country and wanted a bag I could take with me on the road anytime I traveled more than a few miles from my house. I was attracted to the idea of a survival bag that was so well organized. The exterior is extremely well constructed. The idea behind the bag is that the interior can be removed and worn as a separate backpack from the exterior, thus giving you two backpacks in one.. The interior, labeled compartments are nice for organization. If you have a chance, there is a really great video on uTube that goes in detail through all the features.Things that need improvement:-I received medicines in the first aid kit that expired prior to shipment or were vary close to expiring.-The compartments for the supplies are undersized. I went through each compartment to see the supplies, and had a very difficult time getting the supplies back in. There is no additional room to add any supplies to the interior compartments. They would have to fit loosely within the backpack. If you turn this into two separate backpacks, I would worry about added items falling out.-Minor annoyance: The water supplies (filter, bladder) were in two different compartments. Why not have them together?If I had to do it again, I would seriously consider buying the external backpack only (available on the manufacturer's website) or a MOLLE bag, and purchase separate bags (such as dry bags) to stock with emergency supplies. Then ask yourself what needs you want to meet, how you want to meet them, and what supplies would serve you best.

I started looking into making my own emergency bag but quickly became overwhelmed by all of the different options of items and what the cost was going to look like in the end. Once I started looking at pre-made packs, it was pretty clear that the Uncharted bag was the most complete of them all. I thought what the heck and made the purchase! Now that I have it, I wish I had found this sooner. The bag has everything you could need but the best part is the organization. All of the items are stored in their respective pockets that are labeled. The emergency radio is a bit cheap feeling, but it works. I definitely would recommend getting this bag!

I think for this is a must have for everyone as a simple means of getting prepared for any emergency. Everything you will need for an emergency has been prepared for you and packed in a very sturdy weatherproof back pack for easy storage and mobility.

This is a must have survival backpack just incase anything happens. People should have one of these in every house I loved the whole backpack everything in it will save your life in a survival situation. I live in West Virginia and I go in the woods everyday of my life.

Cool concept, but clearly misses the mark. A handful of the products are solid, but many are of inferior quality given the $350 price tag - I mean, this knife...It is also not all that functional. It's kind of a hassle opening two backpacks just to get to your items (dry bag followed by insert) - when other bags just open with a zipper. Yeah you can go scuba diving with it, but realistically, you really don't need this beefy dry bag in 99.9% of survival cases. Also adds unnecessary weight imo.Lastly - it's for one person. And it wouldn't be a problem if there were more space, but for my wife and I there is simply not enough to sustain us both - nor is there extra room to store it.Useful to some degree, but if you're looking for premium survival gear I would look elsewhere.

It is not possible for you to do yourself a bigger favor than for you to get yourself one of these bags. Luck favors the prepared :)
