Solid adhesion and the price is right
I used these mounts to suspend a string of 72 decorative, light-weight LED globe lights under the aluminum enclosure for my patio. First off the mounts are bargain priced, about 10 cents each. The are made of a polymer with a thin foam adhesive backing (thinner that the typical foam tape). My enclosure's surfaces are a mix of smooth aluminum framing and a pebble grain (insulated aluminum) ceiling mounted on the frame. I found it easy to peel off the backing from the adhesive and press in place while avoiding getting my fingers on the adhesive pad. Adhesion was instant and so secure that the one mount I decided needed to be in a different spot was impossible to remove except by resorting to a razor blade to cut the foam off the pad, then using mineral spirits to remove the residue left behind. Instead of cable ties, I used 18 gauge insulated wire as hangers for my lights, which passes through the pad slots easily. I would be very surprised if these break loose over time, but will revisit this review if I have that kind of experience with them. Note that my mounts are in an outdoor environment, but shielded from sun and rain. They will be subject to at least 60 degree temperature extremes, a good test of durability. I suspect those who reported adhesion problems with these were using them on surfaces that were porous, dusty, or rough. All in all, these are exactly what I needed for my application, a 5 star purchase.

amazing mounts!
This is the second purchase I have made of the adhesive-back mounts, to put all around the eaves of my house. Little did I know that they would be so amazing when I bought them the first time! The mounts you see in the photo have been there a year! (In the hot TX sun.) I change the lights with the holidays, so I am very pleased that they have stayed in place. Additionally, this photo was taken on a very windy day, and I'm amazed that the wind blowing the windsock around didn't pull the mount off. I used a wire brush to remove loose particles from the brick before applying the mount originally. It would be nice if it was easier to remove the black protective back from the sticky part; trying to do that while standing on a ladder is just a little tedious but well worth the effort.

Self Adhesive Zip Tie Anchors
Just to be straight, never intend for the Sticky Backs to be the only way to secure them to the wall, but the sticky is great to put it in place, stay and then secure with a sheet-rock screw. They only accept the small narrow zip ties but they are perfect for the network bundle I am securing. If I needed regular sized, then I'd buy the larger ones. The self adhesive sticky backs are very sticky and do not come off easily. Overall, strong and durable with screw hole, shouldn't go anywhere at all.

These Things Work!
I bought these to attach a camera power cable from an outside camera to a electrical outlet on the ceiling of my garage. I needed something that would attach well to the rough surface of my ceiling (sort of like a fine Stucco). So up I went on my 8 foot ladder and mounted these bad boys. Do they work?Yes they do. They work well. I used about 20 so far and once mounted to a surface it takes a lot of force to remove it. Just what I needed. I can see using these for cable runs and even for some computer builds (may be a bit too large for that but they would work well). So if you need something that really will stick and do the job these should fit well.

Good for matte paint walls
Noticed the stickies fall off on glossy painted walls but remained intact for matte painted walls. Due to this, will need to find an alternative way by drilling holes to secure. Pictures show one that fell off and another that stayed.

Exactly as advertised. Very good adhesion.
I looked all around for a package of these without the adhesive, since I'm riveting/screwing them in anyway, and I couldn't find any.Bought these and soon afterwards found myself needing a couple of them installed on 1/8" aluminum, but couldn't blow through it because it was on the exterior of a door. Adhesive suddenly came in pretty handy, I tell ya. Warmed um up a bit in the sun, cleaned the surface they were going on, then peeled and stuck. Easy peasy.

These are simply awful
Buying these was an exercise in frustration. First, they're huge. Much bigger than any I've ever used. If space is a constraint, you may want to measure your space and check the size of these. Much bigger than I expected.Second, getting the backing off the adhesive pad will literally drive you mad. It doesn't easily come off, and if you force it, you'll pull the foam pad off with it. You need to grab the edge with a tweezers or your teeth or something and hope you have only the film and not the foam.Lastly, to add insult to injury, they adhesive is terrible. It doesn't take very much force to remove this after it's been "installed". Isn't that kind of the point, to stick? Don't expect these to do a good job. These things are awful and need a redo by the manufacturer.

Gone Zip Tie Crazy
Not sure why these are nut bundled in smaller quantities. However no one can argue that 100/$10 is not a bargain. Unfortunately, these were too small for my needs. Just not strong enough. Should work fine for things like 18 AWG speaker wire or for routing your household appliance cables. If the load weight is more than 2kgs, I would recommend a larger mount.
