OAKI Children's Rain Jacket, Yellow/Black 6

This raincoat was cheaply made and the $40 price point was high, given the bleed-through of the black lining onto the outer shell (which was yellow), as well as imperfections in the rubber shell. There were spots where the rubber shell looked stretched/thin. These imperfections were present brand-new, right out of the package. I returned it and was still charged $5 for the return, even though we have a Prime membership.

What a hard time I had finding a normal plain yellow raincoat that was just like the one Georgie wore in the movie “IT”. My five-year-old saw an ad for that movie and he wanted that same raincoat. Well this fit the bill perfectly and didn’t let me down. I didn’t know if it was worth the price but it definitely is. It feels like normal raincoat material slightly rubbery on the outside and I love that inside has a soft warm lining, it’s not a thick one but many raincoats have no lining at all so the child gets very cold in the rain if not layered. This can be worn alone just over clothing. The hood is a little large as most kids hoods seem to be but it stays up unless there’s a lot of wind, it doesn’t have any drawstrings at the hood. I got size 6 for my small five-year-old son and had to roll the sleeves but I like that it’s a bit long to keep him dry. He loves it.
