Great for Kodi
I have a few kodi boxes in the house on raspberry pi, Linux and windows and these remotes work great on all platforms.

out of three random non-rechargeable remotes, I feel this is the best one I have bought
I do admit this is after minimal use as this was bought for a Christmas gift for an Android box. I have to say that between the three I have bought that are "not rechargeable" (so to speak) this is the best one. They are all in the same "ballpark" but the first one i have for myself (dont use it) doesn't have a light on it, but functions, ... the second one works great but doesn't have "the best light" it just sort of illuminates the keys but TOTALLY usable and ok .. even the light. The light and feel of this one seems better than that second remote with a light and the light itself (not a make or break thing for my use-case as a gift) is much stronger and totally illuminates the keys .. much better than that (random brand i think) second remote I bought years back.. While that one is not "terrible" or "bad" ... say the feel of say where you take the battery cover off seems ... well "more sturdy" (i dont want to ham it up) then the other one. like that one has cheaper plastic and MAY have cost me a $1 or two more if i remember.Personally I'd go with a rechargeable Auvipal remote myself HOWEVER they will not work after a certain point (batteries inside cant take a charge I mean) and this sort of remote doesn't have that issue for a user. So far in my use ... I'd TOTALLY recommend this if you know what you are getting (say you will have to keep changing batteries or recharging AA or AAA .. i forgot which this takes ... AAA i think) outside of the remote. If you are cool with that, and I cant say it'd be an "issue" for me. This is a good remote.Use-case is with an android TV box, by the way.I do think that unlike my AuiPal remote that the airmouse feature (this is the case for any remote i have that is not Auipal) is a tad sensitive ... say if you know about computer mice and DPIs ... i'd say it has a higher DPI ... meaning it "flys across the screen" faster with less movement. Not bad ... but i wish it was a PINCH lower/less sensitive. Something I'd mention but TOTALLY not even something i'd label as a "con" ... that is too extreme for me for this... more a "something that i'd like better" is all. AND AGAIN this is not exclusive to this brand or model of these type of remotes.Again ... I'd recommend this already with my limited use.

Works very well
Perfectly works, haven't had any problems with it, it's possible to play games with this, a bit weird but works really well

Missing functionality.
This is a fine product. And it might have been an oversight on my part not to see this before buying. But notice there's no Control button. The Alt button is wonky to use. No Windows key. .. as all those keys add a ton of functionality to any keyboard, it leaves the experience with this one feeling lacking.

Works pretty good with Google TV
Works about 90% with Google TV. It’s really the inconsistency of the android platform and apps thatMake this remote less-than-perfect. Sometimes the OK button won’t select, so you have to use the enter button on the keyboard side. On a real operating system like osx or windows it works right for everything. You’ll also need an app called null keyboard to make it so the on screen keyboard will be disabled. The remote is a great bargain.
