I have been expanding my set of HENCKELS "Statement" knives, and this small paring knife lives up to the others I have. Short, sturdy, heavy and comfortable in your hand, it will not disappoint. We use it as steak knife as well, and it slices through meat like butter.Tip: I started sharpening my knives **every single time** before using them, no matter what. It makes an amazing difference.

I couldn't ask for more out of a paring knife, the handle is what I was looking for (large) but the blade is small. The color is nice, it came sharp out of the box, there was no residue out of the dishwasher, it was comfortable for me to hold and the blade thickness was what I was looking for.It was a good knife and I will buy more.

I was staying with family out of town and could not function in their kitchen as they had no chef's knives or paring knives - just steak knife and bread knife!! I ordered this as a get by and it really helped me with my cooking for 3 weeks. I didn't want something super cheapo and Henkels is well known as a solid knife. The price was right - it feels a bit off in my small hand, not sure if it's just that it isn't the same as the ones I use at home?? I am sure I would get used to it. But it's heavy enough. I wish it was sharper right out of the package, but I had a sharpener so it was easily resolved. I would recommend as a good lower end solution by a reputable company.
