I came across the Awakening Bell at a general gift store located in a mountain resort town. A couple of people were looking at its very unique and intriguing appearance. The sound was amazing and quite a pleasant surprise. The store manager said she had gone through almost the same experience when she found the bell at market. In fact, she was going to purchase the other one in stock and take it home.My bell is on a table in my office and it is one of the first things visitors and fellow employees focus on. The bell gets "played" a couple times in an average day. It actually can create a sense of calm if a person listens carefully to the qualities of its tone. I have not seen or heard anything like it before and really enjoy it.

I love the tone of this bell. In a smaller room it is pretty loud. It took me a bit to find the right technique to play it like a Tibetan Bell but I finally got it. Love this, using it for my guided meditations at the beginning to calm and ground.

Use it before settling into a daily meditation.It's lovely looking and has a very calming tone.On the instructions it noted you canalso make a 'singing bowl' sound to it too, at the endsof the cylinder, and yet have not been able to achievethat. They did say it's takes patience to get that to work,so curious to see if the patience will eventually pay off.

I like the size and the construction. The only complaint I have is that there is a slight overtone which reduces the clarity of the single note. While I notice it, it is not so bad that I refuse to use the chime in my services.

A beautiful sound . Peaceful. Is a lovely addition to the reiki healings I do for others. Ppl respond very positively to this beautiful sound.

I got this for $30, and for that price I felt like I got a good deal. The steel rod is quite long at 26-1/4 inch, and a good thickness, which allows it's tone to extend for a decent amount of time. The mallet is wood with a rubber striker. The rubber, when it strikes the bell, makes the tone subdued and somewhat muffled, when compared to leather or cloth. Personally I do not like it and use a different striker. Also, for $70 you can get a fairly decent singing bowl, which I feel is a superior meditative tool as tones are easier to sustain and alter, you have a larger sandbox so to speak. But it is what it is, and if this is what you are in the market for it is well made, useful, and competitive at $70 with other similar products. The stand itself is completely solid wood.Hope that helps.

The product was not worth the price. The chime was roughly cut on both ends and would cut you if you rubbed the end and not finished well. Would not recommend this product or would drastically reduce the price charged for it.

I like this product, i use it to wake up in the morning. It has an invigorating reverberation

Das Instrument wurde von mir für den Einsatz in meiner Klangpraxis erworben. Überraschend schnell kam das Paket aus den USA an, mehr als 1 Woche vor dem angekündigten Liefertermin. Ein kleines Wunder ist, dass es unbeschädigt blieb, denn es wurde ohne weiteren Schutz ausschließlich im dünnen Originalkarton versendet. Lobenswert wenig Verpackungsabfall, aber ein hohes Risiko für Beschädigungen.Das Instrument sieht elegant aus und der Klang ist sehr schön, langanhaltend und mit einem sanften an und Abschwellen des Tones bis zum Verklingen, wenn auch nicht ganz so volltönend wie erwartet. Kritikpunkt ist die Verarbeitung. Die schöne Designidee hätte ein sorgfältigeres Finish verdient. So relativiert sich der erste positive Eindruck bei näherer Betrachtung ein bisschen und der Verdacht kommt auf, es gehe eher um das Geld verdienen, als um den hohen Anspruch besonders exklusive Qulitätsinstrumente herzustellen, den Woodstock Chimes in ihren Videos betont. Die Bauteile sind alle ein wenig schief zusammengesetzt, das Holz hat diverse kleine Makel, ist zum Teil nicht glatt geschliffen. Die Fadenaufhängung der Klangröhre hat auf einer Seite eine zu geringe Spannung, was der Röhre zuviel Bewegungsspielraum lässt und das Anreiben erschwert. Man sieht alles in allem das Bild einer lieblosen Massenfertigung vor sich auftauchen. Das ist sehr schade und wird der guten Idee zu duesem aussergewöhnlichen Instrument nicht gerecht. Aus meiner Sicht ist der Preis durch diese Nachlässigkeiten deutlich zu hoch, da es mit den beschriebenen Mängeln nur bedingt für den professionellen Einsatz geeignet ist. Das ließe sich mit etwas mehr Sorgfalt durchaus ändern. Dann gäbe es 5 Sterne.
