IMSI Design DesignCAD 3D Max 2016

Not easy to work with on a House drawing format, will need to study it and how it sets up the item your drawing.

This is not a novice toy. It is the real deal at an amazing value. I used DesignCAD years ago commercially because it was such a huge cost savings over AutoCAD. Now I have come back and purchased the 2016 version because I know DesignCAD. It took me a day or two to learn again but it all came back. I can produce drawings and 3D renderings with ease. For the beginner it I a daunting task learning to think in 3 dimension and how to places things in 3D space. Commercially AutoCAD dominates but for the small shop you can’t beat DesignCAD 3D MAX. Every design tool is there but it takes time to learn.

Software is not intuitive, disappointing drawing detail and every few months you have to apply for another activation code.

A sensationally great program. But the program requires an activation key and their offices are closed on the weekend. Buy the download version if you expect arrival on the weekend and need to run it in a hurry. This is an instance of sloppy senior management and an out to lunch CEO. Normally an activation code is a piece of cake to get. Their web site is useless. Only an email to the company can get the key for the CD version. The company is destroying its own product by such silliness.
