I am shocked that i can't easily find a reference to the required battery pack & charger on this product page. does anyone know this? am i missing it?

ANY RIDGID 18 VOLT BATTERY & CHARGER WILL WORK .. THE DIFFERENT NUMBERS SUCH AS 2AH, 3AH, 4AH ECT.. ONLY MEANS HOW LONG THE BATTERY WILL HAVE POWER TO RUN, OTHER THAN THAT, AGAIN, ANY RIDGID 18 VOLT WILL WORK..

Is AEG brand battery will fit on this?

Not recommend to use None Ridgid battery, risky!

Is this strong enough to take lugnuts off tires?

It may work for some smaller lug nuts, but this is not the correct tool for the job. For lug nuts you should definitely be using a 1/2" drive impact wrench. They do make this tool in a 1/2" drive version (R87208B) but the max torque rating is the same as this one. If you are going to be doing a lot of wheel and tire work, I would recommend stepping up to a mid torque impact wrench.
