Beast Quest: Grashkor the Beast Guard: Special 9

As many others have said, the Beast Quest books are marvellous for encouraging boys to read. My son has been entranced by them since the age of 7 when I started reading the first series to him. He took over the reading himself and would take the books to school where, as his teacher put it, he devoured them. He is now just 9, we are still collecting and have 10 series plus all the bumper editions. I am happy with them as a parent because they seem to me to be well written in terms of the language and manage to be engaging and enthralling without resorting to slang and the idiom in which so many children speak. My son's spelling has improved noticeably since reading these books.
