French Country Patchwork Quilt Bedspread Set King Size

I searched for a VERY long time to find a bedspread or comforter large enough to actually cover my CalKing bed with super deep mattresses. This country patchwork wasn't exactly my first choice in regards to style but since it was my ONLY choice size-wise I was really happy to finally find it. The 118" x 120" "oversized King" spread is perfect and the only one I've ever found in this size. The fact that it actually came with two king-size pillow shams was kind of a bonus surprise since most spreads don't include shams. For me though, that was just a bit too much patchwork going on. I actually cut up one of the shams and turned it into a smaller, rolled accent pillow. The colors in this bedspread are muted (autumn or winter shades), but there are plenty of different ones so it was relatively easy to find a couple of solid-color throw pillows to toss on to break up all that busy patchwork print. The predominant color is a muted gold, or goldenrod, but it would be very easy to brighten it all up with deep green, wedgewood blue, or burgundy accent throw pillows. I chose burgundy and they look quite nice. The spread seems well made and is moderately heavy, not overly so but not really light weight either. I haven't had mine long enough to wash it yet so I can't address any possible shrinkage issues but with four dogs and four cats (who enjoy getting up on the bed to visit occasionally) it's holding up very well durabilty-wise!

I had been looking everywhere for a high quality and durable quilt that didn't cost a fortune. This is beautiful and perfect weight for all seasons. I washed in the washer on cold and dried. Colors are still vibrant. I love that it's oversized and fits my california king mattress with room to spare. Very happy with this quilt!

I bought this quilt because I'm sick and tired of quilts that claim to be king size, then when you put them on the bed, they are way too small. I was so happy when I put this quilt on my bed and it went almost all the way down to the floor. The quilt arrived very quickly, and I'm tickled pink with it. It's very well constructed and beautifully quilted. The colors are outstanding: hunter green, rose, crimson, purple, yellow, country blue, gray, and more. I love the design, which is made up of actual squares of material sewn together and quilted. Squares are of various floral patterns, with some paisley accents. Each square measures approximately 12" x 10". The quilt is reversable, so you can turn it over for a different look, consisting of subdued yellow background, pink roses, and hunter green leaves. The quilt is long enough so that you can tuck it around your pillows if you don't want to fool with putting the pillows in shams. Either way, it's just beautiful. I have a wrought iron bed and the quilt looks just perfect on it; it really brightens up my bedroom!

I looked everywhere for an truly over sized King spread or comforter! Finally, this one. I wasn't sure about the colors but chose this one which is bright and subdued at the same time in our beige room. It reminds me of quilted bedspreads we had when I was a kid-sort of gives you that tucked-in feeling but but easy to shape it for sleeping comfort. The colors are varied so it goes with a lot. It's still easy to make the bed (had comforters in the last few years) but it looks more "made" and stays that way. My grand kids climb all over the bed and definitely approve.I also like the King size shams and I never bothered with them before. This quilted bedspread is so nice and large that you can fold the top over the pillows (the old fashioned way) or just throw the covered shams on and you're done.It's winter in Colorado now so it's perfect with my electric blanket underneath. I imagine I'll fold it down to the end of the bed when warm weather appears again.

I really like this. It has a vintage look and it's plenty long on all sides for a king-- extra long in length so it tucks under pillows well when making bed. Not crazy about the mustard yellow color, but the other colors are nice. Perfect, cotton feel.

Absolutely love this bedspread! I spent months looking for just the right one because I wanted one that would go to the floor on my king bed AND go with my existing window treatments and wall color. It doesn't QUITE go to the floor but mattress and box spring total 25 inches and it still comes pretty darn close. As for the colors, I think you could put this bedspread with almost any color and it would be beautiful. Love the weight of it, not too heavy or light. Colors are beautiful - I don't think the picture does it justice. Money very well spent! Haven't had it long enough to need to wash it but I'm not expecting any kind of issue. When I do wash it I will line-dry it, but that's common for me as machine drying seems to fade vibrancy on any fabric. Not taking any chances with this one. I highly recommend this bedspread!

I love the colors. I can match anyone of them with a different color sheet set.
