I finally got round to upgrading my PC based CCTV system to this Annke DW81KD system. As I'd purchased the 2TB model, it was pretty much plug and play.Setting up the remote access is made much easier by downloading the Annke Vision app (on Android) and just scanning the QR code given on the CCTV system.There is some set up stuff you need to do, such as camera modes/record modes etc. If you are not very technical you may need to refer to the manual which is available on the Annke website.I did email Annke and with a query and they replied back quite quickly and were very helpful.Not that the system is set up and configured, it just works, and I just just forget about it, knowing its working away doing that it needs to, just in case.The app works great on Android and its easy enough to review recordings from whichever camera you select. The PC app for Windows (Annke Vision) works fine, but you have to sign in and it does take a bit of getting used to, and setting up to display it how you want.All in all, a great system for the price, and the software is simple enough to use and just works. I did purchase another system from another manufacturer (Zosi) and whilst their hardware is as good, the software is poor and not as easy to use.I would certainly recommend Annke CCTV hardware and software, and would purchase an Annke CCTV system again should I ever need another one.

I brought this as a replacement for an older DVR that had failed. This one has more features and was so easy to set up.

Easy to use and set up and use to view on mobile remote access. This is the second one I have brought. 1st one lasted 2yrs no problems then hard disk failed. This 2nd one hard drive failed after 3 months otherwise would have scored higher.

USED THIS FROM DAY ONE. NOT ANY PROBLEM.

I ordered this DVR to replace one from another manufacturer which worked but was far from user friendly. Nnow going back to old system.The first problem is that the sales page on Amazon clearly states that this DVR works with Safari and many other web browsers but as there is nothing in the instructions to show how to set it up with Safari I contacted Annke to be told it does not work with Safari. I then did my own research and an Annke web site suggested using a program for a Mac which I downloaded. The program runs on a Mac but I hit what I thought was a simple password issue. Contacted Annke again and made it clear that I was using a Mac and got a reply on how to install a program on a Windows PC. Another contact with Annke got a reply with the following:"We recommend you use the Annke Vision on your Mac, here is a link for you to set it up:"Seems simple and clear. They are offering me a link to a MAC program so I clicked the link. It leads me directly to an EXE program for a PC and nothing else. Just to be sure I took the risk and clicked the link. Fortunately my Mac knows better than Annke "technical support" and rejected the file.This may veery well be a great DVR but on the basis of the misinformation on the sales page plus what is without doubt the worst technical support I have ever experienced I would have no trust in anything they suggest.

Jesus was very helpful setting up the device & connecting up to my phone, the device appears to work fine & easy to navigate around.

I bought this to replace our Swann DVR which had broken.This is alot better and has features that the Swann didn't, like a digital zoom. You can download a free app which allows you to view your property while you're away from home too. There's very little setting up required, probably more like familiarization than setting up to be fair. At less than half the price of a Swann DVR it's good value too. We've only had it a couple of months but so far so good.
