Worth the Money
This disk drive functions swimmingly with our MacBook Air! I was pleased to find that (other than having to reset the region from Asia to America) there was no need to install any third-party applications for the drive to function - it opened right into DVD Player. Though it is not an apple product, it has both the appearance and solidity of one.There was one point where the drive stated that it was skipping over a damaged area of the disk, froze for a few seconds, then the DVD Player application crashed; however I am not convinced that this was due to an issue with the drive, or an irrelevant unfortunate circumstance pertaining to the the smaller operating power of the Air. Regardless, this problem did not repeat itself.All-in-all, we're quite happy with the product!

I've only tried playing a music CD with it but it worked just fine.
The optical drive is a little sticky. I kind of have to pull it out. That's the only reason for 4 stars. Maybe it will loosen over time I'm not sure. It's not that big of a deal to me. I've only tried playing a music CD with it but it worked just fine.

It didn't work. My computer never recognize it as even plugged in. I had to return it

Software install was flawless and drive immediatly worked.
Bought this to use with my llaptop that does not have one built in. It has worked great, and has been invaulable for burning .iso files to DVD.
