This game was incredibly disappointing. I couldn't bring myself to finish it.It's really unfortunate, because this game does have its strong points. Some of the voice acting in particular is well done, and several of the character designs are pretty good. But the game is designed around the idea of forcing back-tracking through dungeons you've already explored, as well as grinding on the player. And the support voice lines get really, REALLY repetitive. And while its predecessor, Akiba's Trip, does a good job of capturing the energy and enthusiasm of the real world Akihabara, this game manages to make the city feel like a hollow shell. The exploration isn't rewarding at all.

Easy-going game
I bought this game a while back and with my busy schedule, I haven't gotten around to playing it until the past month. There's a couple things I really like about this game:-I like the typical JRPG style (characters are relatable and have their own backstories)-Exploring a (limited) simulation of Akihabara-Combat style ~ a little rough, but easy to get into (you can even switch characters within the party to use during mid-battle)-Voice acting is pretty good-Plot is captivating~ as in it's not predictable for me, so it keeps me hooked to find out what happens next-Sidequests aka "Sub-events"; brief and not too distracting from the main plot; explores each characters for the player to understand their personalities and backstories.-Being the busy bee that I am, I like that I can play this in little segments without getting confused on where I left off the previous time that I played. The only thing I wish I could do in the game is to go into the stores and buildings and explore... but anyway, I still like the game.As of right now, my current progress in the game is in Chapter 10... so I'm getting there little by little, and I am enjoying it. :)

Fun and Quirky
Years after coming out, Akiba’s Beat is still a fun quirky little anime inspired Japanese Role Playing Game with about 40+ hours of content (or even more if you’re a level grinder and fall in love with the battle system). While the battle system is not unlike many other JRPGs in the genre, it is flashy enough and quirky enough to be addicting and honestly carve a place out for itself to be something fun and memorable. Honestly, I had a blast with it and imagine others would too.The story itself is quite compelling with everyone being stuck in an eternal Sunday and having to deal with addressing their own delusions about themselves or their futures to better learn about themselves and grow and mature. It is the typical coming of age story that most are familiar with, but it has aspects to it that make it memorable and certainly enough to be addicting to stick with for a few weeks or so to reach the end and the true ending. Getting to the anime cutscenes (though few) is a motivation for anime leaning fans to play to the end. While there is not much in terms of the original soundtrack with only the main overworld theme being memorable and the battle theme being addicting yet tiring, the game does excel with its use of character songs from Japanese voice actors that anime fans and JRPG fans are familiar with.Overall it is a great game, the DLC is fun too, tons of costumes for a really low price.

Different game overall, but still interesting
It's not really like AkibaStrip, but the light tone and self parodist humor of the series is there. I like the characters, a lot. Don't go into this game expecting the first game, the plot is more serious (lol?), as weird as that sounds for this kind of game. The style of game is very different. It's more like a traditional non-turn based RPG, with quirky tweaks here and there, overworld encounters etc. There are no stripping aspects to it. The battle system is different / not predicated on clothing, as you should not be expecting if you looked into this. Reminds me of like FF13 battle system with physical combos and skills in live motion. It feels slightly awkward and clunky at times, like you may want to do something but it doesn't execute buttery smoothly, but it works other than that. Also, the game is not as open world as Strip. The objectives are more defined, less broad. The NPCs don't feel as lively. Graphics are great though, for me.The otaku branded humor and neet poking is the most consistent aspect of Akiba's Beat. So far, love the personality of the girl protagonist as well as the MC, he's pretty much me..But again, it's a different game. I can't stress that enough. Don't expect the story to blow your mind, these types of games are more about the novelty. How much you enjoy this game will tend to depend on your ability to see it as a different entry to the Akiba series. Basically, the experience is a lot better if you don't look at it as a sequel or anything like that, but a side title. Enjoy it for what it is. ;3Also, as another reviewer pointed out, this game has a fantastic English Dub, much like AkibaStrip. The character interaction alone is good enough reason to see this game through to the end. Well casted.

Thanks Amazon :)
I have never played any of the Akiba games, but it sounds like fun if not goofy. Glad Amazon was selling this directly brand new. I was also surprised with a cute little plushie with it - it's so kawaii ^_^

Received the launch edition!
The game is pretty good and I never owned it physical until now, but I never expected to get the launch edition plush with my purchase. Now I'm preparing for Akiba's Trip on the Switch!

Most likely going to return
Bought this for 51.00 cad since it would not go back down and the fact that it shows it comes with a preorder plush and was the last in stock. So i decided to buy it at that high price and today i received this only a game that looks like if the plush was attached it was torn off and a sticker spot which Probably showed a way lower price. Also the kicked is when i bought the last one in stock it instantly was put back there for the 23.67 and still shows the limited plush..... ive played games like this before and in my view there not really worth a full 50 + unless there pared with extra stuff. Also sounds like there something loose inside the card so thats never good since mostly all new games don't come with booklets no more.First time I've been unhappy with something i got 2 stars only cause shipping was quicker then expected and the game is new sealed...

Buen producto
