Can the child bounce themselves as they move around or does an adult need to push innorder for it to bounce?

It responds to movement but I wouldn’t say it’s as bouncy as a cheaper fisher price one. With that being said I purchased this as it has a higher weight limit and I do like it especially with the adjustable head rest area. My toddler also loves to use this in rocker mode and watch movies. This will definitely grow with your child and not one you just have for 6-7 months.

Are there flame retardants in this product? I saw this question was posted but no clear answer was given
