If you are not a professional painter...
This thing was absolutley awesome. I had a very large bedroom and bathroom to paint where the ceiling was white and the walls a dark grey. I was very worried my line would'nt be straight. My wife said I should hire a pro (which irritatated me enough to definiteyly do it myself). I was relieved and happy when this thing did exactly what it said it would do. The line looks great. This is a huge time saver for long straight lines like ceiling to wall, or baseboard trim to wall. Just take your time and read the directions. Youtube a good "how to paint a ceiling and wall" so you have a game plan. Being prepared is a huge key to success here. Plan it out, prep the rooms ahead, dont be in a hurry, listen to music and enjoy the process.3 IMPORTANT THINGS:1. when I used this to paint the line on the wall at the ceiling, I was so focused on the line, I forgot to notice the lower side of the roller that had left a pretty thick paint line on the wall. I didnt think anything of it untill I came back to paint the rest of the wall with a normal roller. That thick lower line had dried and I had to sand it down so you didnt see it (pain), but this could have been easily avoided had I just used a brush or roller to smooth that out before it dried as I went- say every 20 feet- go back and smooth it out. Professionals would have already known that.2. The Accubrush cant get into corners. It gets you with 6 or 7 inches. You will have to do these small areas by hand to join 2 walls. This is not a flaw of the device. Its just the limitations of the tool. When all you have to do is hand-cut the corners in and the rest of the long runs are done in 10 minutes, its no big deal. Also, you may have to hand touch a few spots as you go back.3. Get the Accubrush version that attaches to a pole. It makes it so you can do most of the painting while standing on the ground, not on a ladder. You can make the normal version work to if thats all you have, I just enjoyed the pole version.

Does not work on vaulted ceilings that are sloped or angled. The sectioned pole is a poor design.
The Accubrush took time to learn how to use it. It did work around doors and molding BUT it did not work on the ceiling. Our ceilings are 16 feet and vaulted. This is where we really needed the help but due to the height and angle the Accubrush did not work. The brush left a 1/2 - 3/4 inch unpainted strip due to the ceiling being at an angle, still had to paint the wall by brush. The sectioned pole did not work, was too wobbly. We had to use a painters pole, but for our ceiling the Accubrush did not work. I would reduce the price enough for a person to purchase an adjustable painters pole elsewhere. It takes extra effort to load paint onto the roller having to open the side so as not to get it in the paint and make sure not to get too much paint on it. If you get too much paint on the roller it eventually gets onto the brush holder then it gets onto surfaces where you don't want paint, so if you are not careful it gets messy. We would like a refund because it did not work for what we really needed it for, the ceiling. It is not the fault of the brush because it was not designed to paint at an angle. And could only paint a 3 foot area along the ceiling, door frame, and then the roller needed to be refilled. And just a few times doing that and the paint tray would be out of paint. It was easier to just use the brush in a small pitcher/tub of paint. The wooden pole is short and flimsey due to the junctions, impossible to use unless you are on a 10 foot ladder, even then it unsteady.

THREE STARS
I painted a very large room, 3 hours to 4 hours to do by my self, I did the ceiling as well which took 2 hours to rollout. The Accubrush worked good for the ceiling, as the ceiling was already white. the ceiling has crown molding with a rolled under edge.I saved time cutting in the ceilingThe walls were dark and I was going lighter, the tool didn't perform as well as I would have liked, corners still need to be cut in by hand. The primer I applied didn't cover the dark paint to well using the Accubrush, it failed to get under the crown molding rolled under edge. I still had to cut in by hand, I put the Accubrush down and use my cut in brush for the whole room, crown moldings and base molding, everything. for the room, the Accubrush saved me some time, but less then I would have liked.I'm a retired automobile painter, I paint my house with the same perfection that I painted automobiles. I'm not a professional house painter by trade, but I do a professional job none the less, better then most painter/trademans. A professional painter may like this tool or not like it, if it cause time loss, he will go back to the cut in brush, as I did. When I paint the next room or house I will use it again before I make up my mind on the final decision to add it to my arsenal of painting tools or just put it on a shelf. For now the Accubrush gets a passing grade, a useful tool, based on a painters needs and experience, 3- stars.

AWESOME product
The Accubrush MX XT is a FANTASTIC tool. I do a lot of painting and will always do my edging by hand because the tools on the market simply don't do a good enough job - Accubrush does. I am not being paid for writing this review, I am just a person that wants to let everyone know that tis tool works!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Time saver! Quality job! Easy to use! No smudging or bleed over onto ceilings or trim. This tool does not need a lip on trim for it to work well. The pushing of the tool applies paint and the pulling finishes the edge so be sure you pull back over what you rolled to give a nice finish. This also works very nicely on accent walls where the corners abut walls with different colors. I highly recommend the Accubrush to painters with any level of experience.

Saves time
It takes a little to get use too but definitely helps save time cutting in corners and ceilings. Also worked great on a long pole to get a stair case. Only downside was it sometimes didn’t apply a thick enough coat of paint so I had to apply a few coats. I would definitely recommend. It is a little pricey but definitely worth it

Just another gimmick
I was very keen on trying this product as it would save a lot of time installing masking tape. At first it worked very well but it soon collected paint on the edge and spent more time wiping it off and even miticulously cleaning it eventually left smudge marks. In addition you cannot go from one end to another and have to put in the paint approximately 6 inches one end and 2 inches the other end. I eventually went back to masking tape as it left a neater and sharper line. I would not recommend this product

not wort the money
Takes a few passes to get proper coverage and even then it didn't cut very well. Roller was well saturated with paint. Will try again in the next room.
