Wysong Optimal Growth Puppy Formula Puppy Food

When we brought our first puppy home we had concerns because his stools were runny and very soft. We didn’t know what the issue could be but someone asked if we were feeding him the food that was recommended by the pet store—and we were. The same person suggested we switch the dog’s food and after comparing several brands online we found Wysong on a list of dog foods that were tested for accuracy on their ingredients. I also found some online websites that were not entirely happy with the company, but the company seems to always stand by its product with its own research, and I admire that. So I got my first bag and the dogs stool samples improved right away. That was three months ago and I’ve been buying Wysong from their own website since then.

This is top puppy food from a brand that has rated higher (in independent testing/evaluation) than the majority of the 4,000 brands of dog food available in the U.S. The optimal growth formula is really high in protein for growing puppies. Also noticed that my dog's waste is reduced as their is much more in this formula that he can actually digest and use! This is superior to brands of dog food that are too high in fiber. No low-grade grains in this food!

I have a 5 month German Shepherd. My dog usually scarfs his food down before I can even put my shoes on. After the first bowl of this stuff he doesn't like it anymore. He just looks at me. I have to mix it with other stuff and it still takes him a while to eat it. Today when I put his food down for lunch he just drank his water and laid down next to his food bowl and stared at me.

I thought that I would try this dry puppy diet because it received such a strong recommendation on Pet Food Advisor and was Wysong is one of the pet food companies recommended by Dr. Fox. So far our puppies are ignoring it. I am determined to hold out and hope that they will get used to it. I just don't understand why animal people, like humans, prefer junk food.

We had 5 dogs, and fed this food for 2-3 years on the suggestion of our holistic veterinarian. Recently, I've noticed that our 14 year old Schnauzer mix was urinating a lot. She passed her senior exam and bloodworm with flying colors, but I was really beginning to worry about her. She was unable to make it through the night without drinking water, or having to urinate 3-4 times. We started putting pee pads down, so we weren't having to let her out 2-4 times a night. If we crated her, she would have an accident in her crate, absolutely NOT normal for her. If we let her sleep in our bedroom either on the bed or the floor, she would wake up and if we weren't quick enough to get her out or to her pee pads, she would urinate on the floor or even on our bed. I was on the verge of running her back into the vet and have her evaluated for incontinence. I had the food on Subscribe and Save, and misjudged the amount we needed, and ran out. After checking 5 local stores, who either had expired food, or were sold out, at the last store in frustration, I asked what other high quality food they sold that was similar and unlikely to cause too much tummy upset. I switched our two oldest dogs over to the new food, and within two days, the urination and drinking issues completely stopped. We have taken up the pee pads, and she is sleeping through the night again without having to get up for a drink or to go potty. It has now been a little over a week, and I can't believe how much better the housebreaking issues we were having are! Thank god! We have a new puppy who was eating the puppy food, and I was having a bear of a time trying to housebreak her. I told my husband, I don't remember it being this hard, I've worked in animal shelters for years, and this was definitely not my first rodeo, but she had to pee so frequently, and with a Toddler, I was having a hard time getting her outside enough (every 30 - 60 mins) to keep her from having an accident in the house. So I was crating her more than I wanted, because I couldn't have my eye on her all the time to get her outside to pee. In curiosity, I switched her food as well, and a week later, the housebreaking is going so much better I can't believe it. I think the issue was able to fly so long under the radar because in a house with 5 geriatric dogs, with various health issues, it never occurred to me it was the food causing the potty issues until three of them had passed on and we introduced the new puppy. So I guess use this food at your discretion, but I can say for certain we will never be feeding it again.

Good quality food and my dog likes it. She has a sensitive stomach and this food agrees with her.
