Splash of Color Painting & Coloring Book

I teach a watercolor class for elementary students and these were great for students to use in between projects while they were waiting for others to finish. Since they already have a design, the students just had to paint them and they look like amazing finished pieces. It also help my students who weren't great artists to feel accomplished and proud of their work. I will purchase this again for my next session!

I got this as a gift for my mom. She loves to water color and this was the most perfect water color coloring book I could find. The paper is thick, perfect for watercolor. There are many different types of designs, perfect for different moods and techniques.

The media could not be loaded.  The quality of this book is excellent and it's hard to just find a coloring book for watercolor that's not trying to constantly teach you something but let's you have free reign creativity. I don't like when you can see how the professionals have colored it and have to compare yours because you're learning and I don't think it's super healthy to look at all the time. This one just gives you the message in the beginning and free reign from then on. I also like that it's a flip up style so you can pull your favorite pieces out and frame them is you'd like. It feels like an art book and the quality is pretty good for this price!

This is a cute book. The designs really didn’t suit my taste, but my daughter, age 20, loved them. So I gave ignorant to her. The paper is good quality. Perfect for being creative on days you don’t feel like hand drawing or working too hard. Use watercolors, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, or markers.

The quality and awesomeness of this book can't be conveyed in pictures. The illustrations are luxuriously printed, the watercolor paper is substantial (feels similar to Arches watercolor paper) and the back of the book is firm and sturdy, so you can prop the book on your lap if you want. Splash of Color feels special.You don't have to paint or color much to feel like you've created an original work of art. My 5-year old son and I zenned out with this book. He picked the cactus illustration, which he colored with markers in every color of the rainbow and then drew his own desert characters on the side of the page. This book served as a wonderful creative prompt for him. You can frame your work, cut and fold the finished work to use as blank cards, use a craft punch to create gift tags, etc. Even after you've enjoyed the coloring part, there are endless ideas for your finished pieces. I'm so pleased that I purchased two of these books...one for my family and one as a birthday gift.

This book is worth your money. The paper is amazing quality. The ink doesn't run when water touches it. This is my first actual watercolor pencil book. I wasn't sure it would live up to being $25, but it surpassed my expectations. Love it. Treat yourself.

The prints in this book are beautiful for painting. I originally bought for myself to paint with my 2yo daughter but she has been painting so well independently. I just set her up with her washable water colors and rip out a sheet and 20 quiet minutes later she creates a frameable masterpiece! I would totally buy this again!

As someone who enjoys painting but possesses neither skill or talent, I've learned that coloring in someone else's lines is more my speed than creating from scratch. I have tons of marker/pencil coloring books but was looking for a good way to use my expensive watercolors. Enter this book! The paper is thick and easy to tear out. The drawings are a variety of simple to more complex and intricate. I'm super excited to try this out!

Love this! I had ordered watercolour pencils but found myself stuck on what to create. This book gives you tons of options to colour in and experiment. The paper is super good quality and my favourite part is that the pages flip up so you don’t have to struggle with holding pages down as you get to the end.

High quality pages, thick, ridged to allow the watercolours to absorb nicely. I would buy again. Great for beginners/children/adults who do not wish to draw their own outlines. Simple pictures, not detailed. Not for an advanced painter, they would be disappointed as outlines are not intricate. Wish they had more books like this. Again, perfect for beginners.

The paper seems to be of good quality, tried it with watercolor pencils and a waterbrush and also with paint applied directly with a brush and everything whent well.I don't really like that the pages are to easy to tear from the book and also a couple of the pictures are really similar. The one I like the least are the three ones which the page is almost all black and in the center there's the drawing... That could be fine if you had iridescent paints but I don't.Overall I'm happy with the book.
